I just mean that style of hitting. If you can get out past the wall, that’s great. But I’d rather you just safely hit to a base if you can - as we’ve seen so often recently, solo home runs don’t make games. Definitely not in terms of Martin’s current slump!

I don’t mean current Martin of course - I wish he was still as strong as he started the season! But the ability to get on base is such a crucial asset to a team. You can’t have a grand slam without a few singles!

@Mike Sixel please, share your thoughts! Do you disagree re: gaps, or re: being Martin-esque? I’m very curious!

I think it would have been much worse to loose the chance! Now he’s still on third with one out - I like those odds more than two outs with Lee all the way on second.

Lewis has been much better at finding the gaps since his return. I really wish he would get to be where he plays more like Martin. Of course home runs are nice, but singles and doubles can make the game!

Why can't people ever do well for us?! He's been there for just days, it's not like he's magically been coached better in the last 48-72 hours! In regards to tonight game, begging seemed to work well on Wednesday, and I am always willing to debase myself! So, please Twins... I continue to beg you... Win one more time!
