I second that! Cruz has been a tremendous teammate to our ball club, especially noticing Miguel Sano's increased dedication to the team with Cruz as his mentor.

Really enjoying this series, it is a lot fun to read. So thank you for putting this together. Maybe we could put the 1987 team to the test against another team. I would suggest that if the '91 team wins the series that the club makes the "m" cap the official one!

As I read your piece, the one thought I had is all those folks that think the major league baseball season is too long. If the season is shortened, how would those folks look at the baseball season? Would this be something that Mr. Manfred and the owners look at and possibly contemplate for the future? Personally as a baseball fan and a Twins diehard, a shortening doesn't bother me, but other than that leave the game alone. (referring to the duration of an average game). Just a thought.

I would just add that I am 42 and never shy about asking for a autograph or taking a picture with the Twins!

Great piece! Actually, my favorite Twins team is the '87 team and remembering the series puts a smile on my face after a season of disappointment. However, I am reminded from James Earl Jones in Field of Dreams, "What was once good can be again!" So believe Old Twins Cap, we will get there soon!

For the Twins this year, Deduno is a pitcher they need in the rotation. A pitcher with the combination of confidence and no fear is something the Twins would benefit from. The organization has nothing to lose this year, but maybe 90 games again? I consider myself one of the most optimistic Twins fans, anything within 10 games of .500 would be considered a positive this season. It just so happens Deduno could help the club win some more games....give this kid a chance!

Up to this point, I would like to see Samuel Deduno as the teams fifth starter. He possess a no fear attitude when he is out there. One question I have is, what is currently going on with Rich Harden?

Good article. So far so good with Rosario. Will watch him in the WBC and see if he continues to hold his own. The future definitely seems to bright for Eddie Rosario.
