I grew up during Favre’s played game streak and pride myself on playing through injuries as well. That being said, if Ober actually is hurt, at this point he is just screwing this team every 5 games

If this was a video game I would lose all interest because it’s not realistic to be this bad at pitching every single game. Down 5-8 runs by the 4th inning every game.

The only possible logical explanation I can think of for not walking him to get the fresh count and set up the double play or even walk the bases loaded to set up double play and/or force out at home is Roco was straight up just not paying attention

I dont know if there has ever been a team in more need of a hard reset. This organization needs to be sold and gutted from top to bottom. There are no vibes here. The Pohlads have absolutely destroyed fan morale since the playoff win. We have the payroll cutting, and the tv issues. Now Target Field is empty. Deserved, or not I get the feeling that the fans dont even really like the players because of their constant injuries and poor play over the last 8 months. Our "star" players cant stay healthy to save their lives and have way too many extended periods of poor play. Fans are beyond done with Roco and his kumbiyah attitude and managing from a cpu or spreadsheet style. We cant develop consistent hitting at all. Does any other team have players like Julien, Wallner, Miranda, etc who look great and then out of nowhere suck and show no signs of development? Our prospects seemingly spend more time in the minors rehabbing than actually getting better. We cant get any prospect through the minors and up to the majors without injuries. This dates back to even Sano and Buxton. Heck we now have a 24 year old that looks like he might already have chronic back issues. One of our elite hitting prospects is retired and doing real estate at 27 Overall we just play a very boring brand of baseball. No steals. No fiery players This team desperately needs to be sold, players traded, managers fired, new staff brought in top down. New faces. Fresh start

Honestly, even though i literally just said we should call up all our prospects I dont think the talent is all that lacking here. Almost all of our players have shown extended moments of great play. I dont feel like most bad players do that. Miranda had a like 13/13 stretch last year. Bad players dont do that Julien had a whole rookie season and playoffs where he looked like a legit Major League hitter Wallner has shown 2 different halves of seasons where he put up borderline elite hitter numbers Gasper has elite Minor League On base ability for years and deserves a shot for at least 1 extended MLB look Buxton and Correa are Buxton and Correa. Think I am ready to give up on Lewis. Dude cant even run the bases without getting hurt Wouldnt be the end of the world to lose Larnach Bader is a 1 year guy Would happily lose Vasquez, Paddack, and half the bullpen

I know it wont happen, but whats your thoughts on just bringing up Rodriguez, Kueshall, Jenkins, Festa/Zebby now? Hell lets get Connor Prielepp up here too in the pen. Our players dont develop in the minors. They just rehab in the minors. Seems like they have limited bullets to use. Lets not waste the ammo in the minors

LMFAO. I know its only 3 games and its insane to say, but they should fire Rocco right now in between innings. This is based on the last half of last season and the beginning of this season. That is not a very small sample size. This team needs a spark. there is no life at all. We are getting killed by the rebuilding Cardinals and the literal worst team of all time White Sox.

The 1st baseman was down and the right fielder was no where near the ball by the time Wallner was back up on his feet

I know if I was on a team that was chasing the playoffs I would for sure think less of my manager pinch hitting a guy who is 0-30 doing it

They already have 4 runs. Miami could stop batting altogether and we would still need to probably play like 15 innings to catch up

At this point we should just DH Lewis and never have him run. Hit Home Runs or just jog when you are on the base paths. If that means you are never getting any infield singles so be it

I would argue Wallner isnt or shouldnt be on the fringe. What he did last year in his rookie year is better than anything Larnach has ever done at the Major League Level. Let Wallner start the regular season and we can readjust in May if he is still sputtering

I am wondering this too. If you dont need a 5th starter until 4/10 why not send Varland down to get a start in AAA and then bring him back to start for the foreseeable future on 4/10? Can carry an extra bat or RP in the meantime.
