As Twins coast, a general baseball question. What is elite baseball speed? In the NFL. the fastest run about a 4.25 40 (Randy Moss). What would the fastest baseball players run?

Twins make a lot of pitchers look like strikeout kings.

It was magical, high fly balls and popups were adventuresome for opponents. And never a rain delay or postponement.

It's puzzling to me. If the balls at 104.8 mph when leaves hand, then his hand must be moving at 104.8 mph, which doesn't seem possible. On the other hand, how could the ball accelerate after leaving the hand with no further force applied?

Duran threw one 104.8 mph. Question: is the ball at maximum velocity when leaves his hand or does it accelerate?

Twins should stand pat pretty much, sure as heck don't trade Gray. Pitching has kept in contention, and as I recall the 87 Twins won a world series after finishing a little above .500.
