    It is scary to think that the Twins could go from AL Central 1st place in 2023 to 4th in 2024. UGH..

    Realistically, the team has three rookie starting pitchers who struggle at times and cannot be counted on to complete many innings which is then followed by a questionable relief group. The hitting and the increase in the strikeout percentages has also made it nerve-wracking to watch. I am a senior citizen who has been an avid Twins fan all my life. Some of the managing decisions this year, the third base coaching mistakes, and the Pohlads' refusal to address any hope of potential additions last month are all mindboggling. There is much more including the young second baseman consistently boggling the ball. It is my hope that they will be able to sneak into the playoffs, but the entire infrastructure is so very frayed to think that they can do much in the end. One has to have hope, but it is important to be realistic.

    In the immortal words of Mr. Monty Python...and now for something completely different. Try Duran and Jax out as starting pitchers...use the rookies as relief pitchers. Do you realize that Matthews is being used as a starter on Tuesday, and he has a 7.11 ERA? One cannot beat him up as he is a young rookie brought up quickly who is putting forth an effort. However, when was the last time the Twins used a starter with that high of an ERA?

    The podiatrist gave me a cortisone shot that was injected directly into my heel to treat my planter faciitis. It was VERY painful due to location of the injection but helped with the healing process. As of this moment, the Twins cling to the last wild card spot in the playoffs. In the rearview mirror... Detroit 2 1/2 games back Seattle 3 1/2 games back Boston 4 1/2 games back Fingers crossed..

    When he entered the Target playing field with fanfare last year, I had confidence in him. This year, the blinking lights and music has alerted me to potential danger. He seems to normally permit hitters to get on base which promotes nail biting. UGH...

    It is time to tip my hat to Kyle Farmer who seems to be doing an about face (3 homers in 5 days) after having some very tough months. Also, he is better at second base than Julian.

    I will get off the topic in order to mention praise for a member of the Twins who has put forth efforts to help the community.     I believe that it will be decided in about 10 days. If they cannot muster series wins against the Reds and Angels and at least go even with the Guardians, they will be in a heap of trouble, The playoff contender Red Sox will dine on them at Fenway the following series if they don't match those hurdles. The Green Monster awaits!

    Your comments were well written, thank you. However, one point that should be made....it was Correa, himself, who announced publicly a concern about the plantar faucitis foot injury being a topic connected to the ankle issue from his past. Also, plantar faucitis can reoccur but hopefully will not for him. I speak from personal experience.

    Hmm.. I was unaware of that Pohlad situation. Interesting that the headline on their website at the moment centers on hawking $9,00 seats for the upcoming games. I am still keeping my fingers and toes crossed that they could limp into the playoffs.

    Note to Pohlad Family. You have to spend money (obtaining new players that might help at the end of the season to make the playoffs), to earn money (filling the seats at Target Field). Take cues from the Royals who took that approach (e.g. Tommy Pham who hit the Twins well last weekend).

    Well,,,how about the kids making up 40% of the team's payroll ...The Twins did not spend money on any additions.....they were running around the field today prior to the game. Injured Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton getting closer to returning to the Twins' lineup (msn.com)

    Well, my main point revolved around the fact that he pulled Ober last weekend and Rocco has done it in the past in an utterly ridiculous fashion. Just FYI...Gray made a comment this year while with the Cardinals about Rocco and his short leash when he was with the Twins. If you listen to SKOR North Podcast today, they really highlight this "Rocco pulling habit" and substantiate this via statistics.

    When I was a young kid, I attended my first Twins game and was impressed by the pitcher, who was simply fantastic! For the first time, I read about his background in the link below which included a Cy Young Award, fight promoter, and carnival barker. ...and a baseball salary that is so low compared to the likes of Correa and Buxton. #CardCorner: 1970 Topps Dean Chance | Baseball Hall of Fame

    I fully agree, but it has reached a point where there should be no full-time dependability whatsoever on Buxton. One only needs to view his inability to stay afloat year after year. With him, it goes beyond conditioning. They need to have a plan to input a SOLID full-time player in that spot instead of playing musical chairs in CF. Alas, the high priced "Buck Truck" is now a used vehicle in need of constant repair and the warranty has expired.

    Somebody needs to show Warkins a video on "How to Coach Third Base." The number of times that he has sent runners on to home ending in outs is in the double figures this year. They are up against two teams out of the playoffs (Angels and Reds) followed by the Guardians There is a good chance the playoff picture will be solidified after those games. If not, they will then face the playoff contender Boston.

    Yes....Correa is known as the "leader" by many. He has been present in the dugout during the home games. It would be nice if he makes an attempt to at least DH. It has been almost 2 months since he has been present in a game. He stated that the Nike spikes don't work well. Can't NIKE do something to help him out? If not, Ohtani and many others use New Balance which are more "foot friendly."

    Two runs in three games in tough to handle for a fan wishing that their team makes the playoffs. I have tickets for the red Soc games at Fenway and it may be over for the Twins by that time. I made a post on the last game comparing Ober being pulled early to comments made by Sonny Gray in 2022. Below is an article from 2022 regarding that issue which is still current today.
