NealcpLA's Achievements

  1. Exactly! Whoever allowed him to stay in and throw 120 pitches...THIS guy, the #1 pitching prospect for the team...the future, should be fired immediately...and no nonsense about "old school" and "sucking it up". If this season in MLB should be teaching us, with it's nearly unheard of rash of TJ surgeries is what the abuse of young pitcher's arms is costing...
  2. I guess I view booing as something someone who isn't really very much a fan of the game might do. A person can be a fan of the team (or teams) they follow without denigrating the other team simply for being the other team...To me, this falls into the category of the 3 ****ty things (non) fans do at a game; the wave, beach balls and booing...
  3. I see "Pierzynski's relationship with his teammates when with the Twins" as nonsense and irrelevant. In the first place, nearly all AJ's teammates have loved him...WHILE he played with them; he's a gamer and a good teammate. Secondly, name 2 players on the Twins' current roster who were even with the team when he was. Recall his departure exactly pre-dated Mauer's arrival. That said, Hannigan isn't a bad option and especially so if they end up signing Arroyo...
  4. ...Maybe it's my natural skepticism or even cynicism but how did we find out that Sano essentially told Smith he would "do what he wanted when he hits a HR"? From the Twins' organization? I suspect, given Smith's "prickliness", the truth may have been something different...Smith probably wanted Sano to back down and kiss his ring and when he didn't, he went running to Ryan...I watched the video and, even though we did not see much of the time he stood before starting his trot, there is no way it was a full "5 seconds"...Agree with the one posting pointing out how "Minnesota Nice" and, essentially, 'milquetoast' the current team is and how bereft of any real fire it has been...if this organization thinks it is going to somehow berate these young Latino studs into being "nice" and playing some nonsensical "Twins way", they're going to f- it up again, just like they did with Garza, as a matter of fact...
  5. Great article...I was a little disappointed with the grammar in the headline. Not sure who is responsible for that but it should be, "Where Are the Twins with statistical analysis". The "at" is redundant and a really annoying misuse of language...Not normally something I'd mention in a comment but in a headline the error just jumps out at you....
  6. I totally concur on Knoblauch...He was the BEST player during some of the WORST times. What I respected about him was, as good as his rookie year was, he came back the next year with an even better game (admittedly could have been PEDs assisted)...he could be a little prick but he was a player. With as ****ty as his life has become since his retirement, I think it would be the coolest ass thing for him to be voted in and return to Target Field to a standing O!...be very moving...and deserved. Even if you didn't like him, he was 'the gift that kept on giving', i.e., landed Eric Milton, Christian Guzman and Brian Buchanan. Milton, after a couple very good seasons went to the Phillies for Carlos Silva and Nick Punto. Of course Buchanan netted Jason Bartlett from the Padres who, along with Matt Garza netted Delmon...uh, OK, it does STOP giving at some point, but you get the point...
