  1. I'm thinking 72-74 wins. Pitching should be better can't get much worse.
  2. I don't believe Terry Ryan is hanging Gardenhire out to dry on purpose. Terry realizes how the Twins do is just as much if not more a reflection on him and how he acquires talent to play with. Now do I believe he's done a great job on acquiring talent the shore answer is NO!
  3. Kind of reminds me of the Joel Zumaya experiment i guy that got good stuff but just can't stay healthy hopefully this one works out!
  4. I brought the same subject up and was told Kenny Rogers.
  5. He stunts the growth of people like Hendricks if your rebuilding you don't sign Garza
  6. What value does Freddy Garcia bring? Take away innings from somebody with upside Hendricks? Would be worse move than Corriea
  7. I'll remind you Kansas City has been saying the future is bright for 5 years and there still saying it.
  8. Does Terry Ryan even know what good pitching is? How many good free agent pitchers has this guy signed? Answer not many
  9. Fanatic Jack, couldn't agree more your right on
  10. I agree until they actually sign a free agent from a different team for big money nobody can argue your point
  11. Very well thought out can't disagree we are so bad that free agents don't want to sign hear!
  12. The tigers sign Sanchez another big contract. The Twins sign Kevin Correia. This must be the TV Revenue that the tigers are pulling in. LOL No they have an owner committed to winning good for them. I'm jealous
  13. That's how i look at it if you want to improve pitching don't you go get quality starting pitching instead the Twins get pitchers that know one else has interest in. Does anybody think the Twins are better off with Kevin Corriea in there rotation?
  14. I suppose will hear the new talking point of the Twins he's an innings eater. How about a quality pitcher? Is that to much to ask for?
  15. You think he regrets it now wait until midway through the season and he has a 5+ era
  16. Couldn't agree more especially Pohlad!
  17. Couldn't agree more Pohlad would be #1 on my list
  18. I remember this offseason Ron Gardenhire saying we need to sign quality starting pitching. Now listening to Terry Ryan saying we have numbers of starters it's absolutely priceless.
  19. Hears where i stand on this free agent signing. I'm totally against it i think it's a waste of 10 million dollars. Now are you for this signing CDOG?
  20. CDog, Can't argue with you if your happy with the results the Twins have had the last couple years! There doing it right! I'm sure you'll be back hear in about a year telling how good a starter Kevin Corriea is. LOL
  21. That's exactly the point are we trying to acquire quality arms? I know Jame Shields ended up in kc
  22. We get Kevin Correia and i hear the Tigers were trying to get James Shields doesn't seem right does it? They have quality starting pitching and are trying to acquire more. We pick up Kevin Correia and we wonder why we haven't won anything in over 20 years.
  23. seth articles are always amusing to read first off Kevin is a terrible pitcher. Second off the Twins will not trade him at the deadline because no team wants him for another year. He is signed for 2 years.
  24. Scouting Report: Pressly has a polished delivery with excellent balance and a consistent release point. Doesn't create much drive out of his delivery and is shorter with his arm extension. Features a four-seam fastball that sits 90-91 mph and occasionally tops out at 93 MPH. Primarily relies on a cutter that sits 84-87 mph with inward break on lefties. Can leave it in middle of the plate too much. Secondary pitches include a mid-70s 11-to-5 curveball and an 80-82 mph changeup. Creates good arm speed and deception when throwing his change, with it fading away from righties and in on lefties. His changeup doesn't have a lot of separation from his cutter, but can play well off his four-seam fastball. Pressly's curve can be sharp at times, but he is still developing consistent feel for the pitch and needs to work it more into sequences. There you are i added this to the Conversation! hope that helps watching bird man
  25. Ain't no stopping us now! I suppose Jim Pohlad couldn't eat breakfast this morning since it costs 50,000 to be in the Rule 5 draft!
