  1. It is without a doubt, Tommy Herr! We gave up Tom Brunanski for him! Ron Davis as a closer is right up there.
  2. It should just be SOP for college arms to have TJ surgery when they get drafted!!!!
  3. So then why don't we trade some pieces with value? Revere is on the up-swing in value. We have outfield depth...
  4. I'm with you alarp. Revere should keep improving so we can trade him in the next 2 years. That's where his value will be IMO.
  5. Not to say that Mattingly wasn't a good player, he just got voted in more often than he should have because of playing in NY.
  6. There was also the Don Mattingly thing. Mattingly took too many AS games from other players because he got votes playing in NY.
  7. I'm not saying that Revere is not turning into a major league outfielder. I'm one of the biggest Revere bashers out there, but he still has a ways to go...
  8. Revere's routes to fly balls are atrocious! He makes up for it with great athletic ability and speed. That is why Span plays CF.
  9. *61 is the most underrated baseball movie of all time. Barry Pepper and Thomas Jane were awesome as Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle. The Mick just happens to be my favorite ball player of all time!
  10. #5 - The Sandlot #4 - Major League #3 - Moneyball #2 - *61 #1 - The Natural
  11. That'a almost as good as "Get to know 'em!"
  12. TFFA - My opinion is that they should put the time into Benson and Hicks, not Revere. I'm not saying that Revere doesn't have his uses, but how often do you need just a glove and range in the OF? If you bring him in as a defensive replacement, what good is that if a guy gets on second? A single will always score that run. Plouffe has his problems too, I'm not denying that. I just think that it's time the Twins started to think about out-scoring their opponents now because the pitching staff is going to need it. Plouffe can produce more runs than Revere can save.
  13. Does this bother anyone else? Besides his range, what does Revere offer?
  14. I still can't believe the team is believing that Revere is a major leaguer! Plouffe can hit. Revere cannot. Then throw in the fact that he can't throw, it blows my mind!
