  1. Not to be negative but no way. There isn't anything there of real value for me to give up a cheap, cheap contract that Perkins has. If you're talking Perkins the conversation has to start with one of their top pitching prospects,
  2. I would be all over Brett Anderson in Oakland. The next guys I would be in line to inquire about would be one of Arizona's pitchers.... McCarthy, collmenter or Cahill. Next I would be at san fran's door asking about vogelsong. Not one of these guys are the wow factor but could help us for a year or two.
  3. So let me get this right. Spend 10-15 million on him for 1 year and let him hit the lottery by being a fantastic pitcher next year and then try to resign him? If that happens you're guaranteed to be out of the sweepstakes of trying to resign him. A multi year deal gives you some chance of hope that you might catch lightning in a bottle.
  4. It is fun to speculate, but seriously? The Twins will throw out enough rumors to stoke the hot stove fire but at the end of the day, they are planning and have planned all along to stand at the end of the line and pick from the remaining junk that no one else wanted.
  5. Without a doubt. But the Twins never would do it.
  6. I think people are way off the mark when thinking about possible starters for next year. I can't see us signing anyone but I do think they will add through trades. Guys I think would be available would be Trevor Cahill in Arizona with guys like Bradley and Skaggs ready next year. Maybe a guy like Erasmo Ramirez in Seattle with walker, hultzen and Paxton ready. Maybe Brett Anderson in Oakland. Whoever it is I think will be a player no one is really talking about right now.
  7. Radke makes me think of my high school football team. We had some ok players that helped us win but we're not good enough to be even all conference, but that didn't diminish that they were decent players. I guess longevity and mediocrity for me does not earn someone a great honor like retiring his number.
  8. I just don't see the giants wanting to have Lincecum back unless he is on the cheap. Their next wave of good pitching prospects is right around the corner with crick, Stratton and Blackburn.
  9. I just wanted to post a 2nd time so I didn't have the number 1 by my name.
  10. Nice website. I find it intriguing to see what has been written about each and every day. The biggest reason I come to the site is that one of my best friends in high school was Seth Stohs and I really enjoy checking up on him since we don't have a chance to talk very much anymore. Seth stood up for me at my wedding like 19 years ago and I have always had a lot of respect for him as a person. As for the Twins... where do they even start? This roster is a complete mess and the current management in place hasn't really shown or given the fan base anything that they are the group that can turn things around. Well, everyone has their solutions as to what the Twins should do this offseason. I'm not smart enough to get into that discussion. To be honest, I don't think there is a reason to discuss the possibility of any moves being made, because to date, there hasn't been anything done ever by Mr. Terry Ryan. I still think that the Twins have not yet hit rock bottom, though.
