  1. Interesting take, AM. I'm a younger brother myself, and felt it took me more effort to compete with my brother who was four years older. I also needed to study the game more in order to outsmart him since he was physically more capable at everything.
  2. The Bob Tewksbury eephus.
  3. I'm sad to see him sign elsewhere, but signing him when he can only throw 80 mph doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
  4. According to the Baltimore Sun, Johan's going to the O's on what will obviously be a minor league deal. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/orioles/blog/bal-johan-santana-spotted-at-orioles-facility-20140303,0,644536.story
  5. I'm actually wearing a Nick Blackburn jersey today. Can't explain it. I was also a fan of L-Rod. And Mark Davidson because, who was that guy??
  6. I like your idea of Revere giving Mauer better at-bats. Mauer may see more fastballs in an at attempt to keep Revere from stealing so easily. Now if he would just swing at some of those first-pitch fastball cookies...
  7. Could be Mauer, and they'd just slide the whole lineup one spot? They've tried it before, and Gardy likes lefties in the two spot.
  8. I like the idea, but Gardenhire is really critical of his infielders, especially middle infield, so he would have a very short leash.
  9. I may be tarred and feathered for even mentioning this, but every so often I wonder about the possibility of Aaron Hicks being moved to the pitcher's mound. I realize that he's loaded with tools, is a great outfielder, and has a keen eye at the plate, but otherwise his numbers have been above average for his level at best. When the Twins drafted him, there were some teams that were looking at him as a pitcher, he could throw upwards of 97 mph at the time, and the video I saw of his curveball was impressive. Seeing that the Twins have a lack of pitching talent and a surplus of OFers, I wonder if the Twins even remember that moving him could be an option? Or, how long does he need to put up uninspiring numbers for this to be discussed again?
  10. I hope they take Correa. The more I read, he may have the highest ceiling of the top picks, even if it may take him a while to get to the majors.
  11. So I read on twinsbaseball.com that the Twins worked out Carlos Correa. Does anyone know the likelyhood that they end up drafting him? He seems like the toolsy player they like to draft, but he plays infield, where there's a dearth of talent compared to what there is in the OF right now.
