  1. OK, shambles was a bit much. But sounds like they aren't going to start Hughes again, and I keep hearing Duffey will possibly be shut down. So what do we do if that's true?
  2. With our "rotation" in shambles for the stretch run, how about running out some "bullpen games?" You can start Santana and Gibson, but the others are shaky. Why not get Berrios in here, and move May back into the rotation. For example, if you can get 3 innings out of May, followed by 3 innings of Hughes on one day, then the next get 3 innings out of Milone and 3 from Berrios, and the third start shoot for 3 from Pelfrey and 3 from Duffey. This lets us use the guys who are on innings limits or working back from injuries. It also attempts to stretch out May so we have him ready to start a playoff game if we make it.
  3. kblack, you're unfortunately correct. People love to say, "Trade Correia or Pelfrey," but if you're not good enough to make the Twins rotation, you're not making anybody else's rotation either. Pelf out of the pen is a good idea though. He does seem to generally do well for the first innings, and then the 5th inning monster shows up.

  5. Albers? No way, 2 great starts to begin his career does not make him a RoY candidate. It's Thielbar or Arcia. As much as I would like to say Arcia because I think he has great potential, based purely on performance (which RoY should be) you have to give it to Thielbar.
  6. Good point there fairweather, that's the perfect place for Gibson to start the season. It does no good for him to be starting games at AAA, because he'll still be racking up the innings. Better to have him in the pen for a couple months, even if that means watching Deduno again.
  7. I don't think expanding it to 15 would have any effect at all. How many ballots currently have 10 voted for? My guess is very few.
  8. My prayers have been answered! No more watching Blackburn continue to stink it up this season. These moves just brightened my day!!
  9. Sorry, but you simply cannot put Revere in RF. EVER. Even lumbering first basemen and catchers would go 1st to 3rd on that arm. He has to play LF or CF.
  10. That's because the pitcher is the best athlete on the team, haven't you been listening to Bert?
  11. While I think Hendricks has more upside, I think the Twins would be best served to get him some AAA starts the first part of this season. For that reason only, I would roll with Swarzak through May (unless he performs terribly).
