In the midst of finals sorry for the post-game reports! Here is today's highlight of the day: https://clips.twitch.tv/MotionlessAwkwardLampSeemsGood Also if you want to watch tonight's game here is the link: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/620259063

Catch-up Make it two nights in a row! After a pitcher's duel on Monday, tomorrow's back and forth affair goes the way of Detroit with their second walk-off in as many days courtesy of Niko Goodrum. The Tigers with a chance to take the series, the Twins trying to get back into it before getaway day tomorrow, should be another great ballgame! Pre-game 6:50pmCT Where to watch. (.324/15/29/.691/1.107) Bomba Tracker - 2020: 65 - 2019 through 42 games: 74 Storylines 1. Homer Bailey was in line to start today but with him and Kenta Maeda being on short rest, Rocco will go to Randy Dobnak to start. Not being used as an opener, Dobnak hasn't thrown in 5 games so he is all set to try and get the Twins back in this series. 2. Spencer Turnbull has had a season to forget this season, but with the Twins having some trouble with flamethrowers this season, Turnbull could be a tough task to handle for Minnesota with his lively 4-seam and sinker. 3. The season series now leans toward Detroit 3-2 overall, and the series could be decided tonight. With a crucial point in the season dawning at Comerica Park, the Twins will turn to one of the most unlikely stories of 2019 in Randy Dobnak to try and put Minnesota back on the winning path.

Catch-up After the Twins have had three walk-off wins of their own, they were finally "walked-off," for the first time in 2020 as Cameron Maybin hit an RBI single and the Tigers took game one 4-3. Berrios and Boyd had great starts, but the Tigers bullpen bests Minnesota's and the Twins will look to bounceback tonight. Pre-game 6:50pmCT Where to watch. Bomba Tracker - 2020: 63 - 2019 through 41 games: 72 Storylines 1. Daniel Norris has been Detroit's hottest starter early in 2020 leading the club in ERA and Wins. An important step for Norris who in his 6th season last year, recorded his first full season as a starter (3-13, 1441.1IP, 4.49ERA) and is looking to build off of his 2019 campaign. 2. Odorizzi, like Kenta Maeda, has for the most part struggled to go deep in ballgames. Outside of his 7 inning shutout win against Cleveland, he has averaged 4.0IP per start and with no off-days in the near future, the Twins will lean on Odo to eat some innings up tonight. 3. The Tigers have now won 4 of their last 5 and the AL Central lead for the Twins is down to 2.0 games. A win tonight would Detroit under 10 games out of the hunt and could make for a disasterous start to the road-trip for Minnesota who will head to Cleveland this weekend.

Catch-up The Twins end their third home-stand of the year going 5-1, but lose on Mother's Day 10-7. Despite a late comeback, the Twins couldn't claw their way back and begin their longest road trip of the season with divisional rival Detroit, Pre-game 6:50pmCT Where to watch. Bomba Tracker - 2020: 62 - 2019 through 40 games: 71 Storylines 1. Gardy and the Tigers are riding higher than they have in a long time. Despite being 13-27, the Tigers take 2 out 3 against Cleveland and on Mother's Day come back from a 8-0 deficit and win 10-8 and have now won three of their last four. 2. Boyd's last start against Minnesota was forgetful to say the least, going 4.2IP, 4H, 7ER, and 5 BB. Boyd will have to bounce-back against the Twins ace in Jose Berrios who's been excellent his last three starts (3-0, 18.1IP, 13H, 19K's, 1.49ERA). 3. Last time these two teams played the Twins took games one and two 4-0, and 7-6 and Detroit took game three in a thriller 9-8 behind the bats of former Twins Jonathan Schoop and C.J. Cron. If last time around is any indication, this should be a great series.

Catch-Up Kenta Maeda with yet another tough outing, going only three innings and allowing three runs, but despite that the Twins hold on and win 5-4 thanks to some clutch hitting late coupled with great work again out of the pen from Fernando Romero. The Royals will turn to their ace in Brad Keller to try and take getaway day at Target Field. From Dallas Braden's perfect game, to Torii Hunter's 7 RBI performance, even Craig Monroe's two home run day, Mother's Day baseball has always brought out the best in those playing baseball. This is one of those days like Jackie Robinson Day that is circled on the calendar and we hope it'll be special day on the ball field. 2. Jhoulys Chacin spoke candidly about how excited he was to work with pitching coach Wes Johnson this off-season and their relationship has paid dividends for Minnesota. Chacin leads the Twins in Quality Starts this season with 4 and will look to have another one here today and go for the sweep. 3. The Royals will try and take getaway day with Brad Keller, the Royals leader in IP, Wins and arguably the best pure fastball the Twins will have seen from a starter all year. Should be a good one!

Time Stamp: 28:00Wrap-Up and Highlights The Twins come off of an off-day on Thursday riding the highest wave of optimism they've had all year. Their first sweep in front of Target Field with the icing on the cake being a Mitch Garver Walk-Off Bomba sent them roaring past the Giants with 15-6, 6-0, and 4-2 wins in the series. But today began a set with the Kansas City Royals who, before the season started, seemed like a misnomer. But heading into today's game the Royals were above .500 at this point in the year and this surely would be a great start to a great series. The action kicked off with the Twins scoring fir.. https://clips.twitch.tv/HonestWimpyArmadilloShazBotstixNever mind, as for the first time this year we go to the booth review and a "home-run," is taken away from Garver and the Twins. Garver would double on a hanging slider the next pitch and stand at second with one away and the big man Miguel Sano would make sure to send the next hanging slider he saw packing. https://clips.twitch.tv/SparklingAwkwardButterflyPupperAfter Sano put Minnesota in front the game would proceed to fly by rather uneventfully. Not to say the game got boring but this was yet another pticher's duel. But heading into the top half of the 6th, the Royals would have their best opportunity all day, runners at 1st and 2nd with two gone and the potential go-ahead run in their HR leader in 2019 stepped in the box in Jorge Soler. https://clips.twitch.tv/AggressiveVastMartenKeepoThese moments are why there is no way Rocco can take Bailey out when Rich Hill comes back from IL. Time and time again Homer Bailey has proven here in 2020 that with all the doubt behind his signing, Bailey was here and he was ready. https://clips.twitch.tv/MiniatureFlirtySnailFrankerZIt's not flashy, but Homer Bailey moves to 3-1 and owns the 4th ERA in the American League at 1.86 as the Twins win a pitcher's duel behind a superb performance from the most unlikely of starters heading into this 2020 season. Miss the game? https://www.twitch.tv/videos/611419866 Want to skip the pre-game? Time Stamp 36:40Coming into the game there some notable storylines. The back and forth battle atop the AL Central continued with the Indians and Twins while Mitch Garver was one Bomba away from tying the franchise record for home games in a row with a Bomba, one of those things were solved immediately. https://clips.twitch.tv/RespectfulInterestingPeafowlBloodTrailThe Giants would respond with an RBI triple from Hunter Pence which would then bring up Pablo Sandoval who, coming off of Tommy John in the off-season, was limited to DH roles. As we mentioned in the pre-game this was going to be a high scoring affair, and it was indeed just that. https://clips.twitch.tv/IcyBrightBottleGingerPowerThe Twins would then turn over to the 3rd inning looking to strike while the iron was hot. After leaving runners at 1st and 2nd stranded in the 2nd inning, Eddie Rosario wasn't looking to make that same mistake again. https://clips.twitch.tv/DeliciousFaintBaboonArgieB8So the Twins leap frog back into the lead, only for the Giants to even it up with a sca-fly and the game was again tied 4-4 before a routine ground ball to Donaldson ende.... https://clips.twitch.tv/OddGloriousGaurM4xHehSo instead of ending the inning the Giants once again retake the lead 5-4 in what has been arguably the most back and forth game all year. The Giants seeming to at will come back on Minnesota and this surely boasted for a tight stressful game. https://clips.twitch.tv/RoughRespectfulSalamanderBrokeBackCruz would enter the scoring and the Twins now again had taken the lead 6-5. Miss the game? https://www.twitch.tv/videos/609537249 Want to skip the pre-game? Time Stamp 22:00Recap The Twins went to bed with a bad taste in their mouth. A game they should've won gets taken away from them and the task at hand today is to even the score. And like we'd seen these past 4 games, the Bomba Squad is here to play. https://clips.twitch.tv/RelentlessLovelyTofuLeeroyJenkinsOn top of hitting Bomba's in five straight games, the Twins would reach another feat in tonight's ballgame; multi-HR games 3 times in their last five. https://clips.twitch.tv/RoughStormyBurritoRitzMitzThe score would hold for a while but then the Twins in the 4th inning have their best chance all day, bases loaded and nobody out. Then, in the most Twins like fashion possible, Jorge Polanco would ground into a double play and score a run to make it 3-1. With the inning needing to be salvaged, it would be up to Miguel Sano. https://clips.twitch.tv/ShyKindBeanUnSaneWe're not sure if Sano saw Upton have trouble with the ball in left or what, but regardless the big man cashes in and for the second game in a row, the Twins lead 4-1. Justin Upton would homer and make it 4-2 but that brought to the 7th in what ultimately decided the game. This highlight is rather long as it emcompasses the end of the 7th inning so I would recommend not skipping this before going forward. Crack open a beer this was gets dicey. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/609677186I'll give you one more chance to reconsider if you didn't watch that video...wow! The Twins leave the bases full behind some superb pitching by Tyler Duffey and Tyler Clippard and as I mentioned during the inning, that would most assuredly decide the ballgame, and that it did. https://clips.twitch.tv/EnchantingHorribleJayBloodTrailTwins (19-14) WIN 5-2 over the Angels (19-13). With the Twins putting arguably their best starter out there for game two, the Twins will look to even the series behind some excellent pitching and the sudden arrival of the Bomba Squad, who have homered 10 times in their last 4 games. 2. For the Angels, they were awarded the win yesterday behind some excellent pitching from the bullpen as well as the Big Fish going yard with a clutch 3-Run HR. The Angels will try and win the series today with Andrew Heaney who is 2-0 at Angel Stadium this year.

Miss the game? https://www.twitch.tv/videos/608569351 Want to skip the pre-game? Time Stamp 18:00The Twins headed into LA and took on the best team in baseball, toe to toe, and swept them in an early two game set that really proved 2019 was not a fluke, and these Minnesota Twins came here to play. The start of this game made it seem like the good times would never end for Minnesota, who was looking for their second five game winning streak of the year. https://www.twitch.tv/thuuuuney/clip/PricklyRichJaguarTwitchRPGThe Angels would answer with a Justin Upton HR but this is the Bomba Squad we're talking about, a team who'd homered 7 times in their last 3 games, would continue to add to that total yesterday in a big way. https://www.twitch.tv/thuuuuney/clip/BlatantSplendidAardvarkPooooundhttps://clips.twitch.tv/GiftedEnticingDragonflyEagleEyeSo for only the second time this season, the Twins go back-to-back and are steering clear of the Halos up 4-1. Rendon would get an RBI single to make it 4-2 but it looked like Odorizzi had things under control. After Ohtani left in the top half of the 5th, Odorizzi was looking to best him. But with two away the Angels would spark a rally and stepping into the box with a chance to put the Halos back in front, was Mike Trout. https://www.twitch.tv/thuuuuney/clip/VibrantFancyMeerkatPunchTreesThe Twins would try, but they were stiffled by a terrific performance by the Angels bullpen for the remainder of the game until the 8th. A leadoff walk to Kepler followed by a walk to Mitch Garver, and the go-ahead run was aboard with nobody out. Polanco retired on a fastball, and then Cruz retired on the slider, and the inning was left to Miguel Sano. https://clips.twitch.tv/YawningAmazingWaffleChefFrank Twins (18-14) LOSE 5-4 to the Angels (19-12). A late resurgence from Albert Pujols has gotten him off to his best start as an Angel since 2012, (.285/30/105), but also added in the mix is an uncharacteristic start from Mike Trout, batting .267 thus far which will bode for some interesting talking points this weekend. 2. For the first time since April Fool's Day, the Twins maintain sole possesion of the AL Central lead. The Twins will lean on Jake Odorizzi, who's been very hit or miss early this year, to try and go on their second 5 game winning streak of the year (Last Time: 3/28/20-4/1/20). 3. The Bomba Squad's spark was lit on the final game of the homestand last Sunday and since then the Twins have homered 7 times in their last 3 games. Meanwhile the stand atop the stacked AL West, leading the "Asterisks," by one game and will look to extend that lead tonight.

Miss the game? https://www.twitch.tv/videos/606565894 Want to skip the pre-game? Time Stamp 24:00After the Twins win largely thanks to the bullpen in game one, they turn to their ace in Jose Berrios for game two against the ace of the Dodgers staff in Clayton Kershaw. If you missed the game I highly recommend you stop reading this and go watch the replay above because this was arguably my favorite game of the year. The scoring today would begin on an emotional note. We saw Max Kepler get as close as #99 at Target Field with career home runs earlier this week and it was shame he could't get #100 in front of the home crowd, I guess he'll have to settle for hitting it off of Clayton Kershaw. https://clips.twitch.tv/TolerantWealthySushiJebaitedAfter that Max Muncy would answer and tie the game at 1 a piece and for a while, that's where the score held at. That was, until Jose Berrios had something to say about it. https://clips.twitch.tv/UnusualSarcasticBearTheRingerHistory. Throw the ball in the dugout because Jose Berrios has just gotten his first career RBI and given the Twins the lead. So after this we joked about how he would have to settle down and try to get back to pitching against this vaunted Dodgers lineup, little did we know Berrios was trying to win this one all by himself. https://clips.twitch.tv/BitterSpoopyMarjoramBrainSlugIn what was the clip of the year thus far, Jose Berrios has just done the impossible. A weak flare to left field scores Arraez on the full count offering and Berrios ran to second base with a purpose and gets an RBI Double in possibly the craziest sequence we'd seen all year. Garver would add this insurance run but the Twins hold on in imporbable fashion 4-2 and will be enjoying their off-day in Cali before taking on the Angels on Friday. https://clips.twitch.tv/BitterSpoopyMarjoramBrainSlugTwins (18-13) WIN 4-2 over the Dodgers (23-7) Box Score Minnesota Kepler, RF: 2-4, Carrer HR #100, 2B .241BA Polanco, SS: 0-5 .274BA Garver, C: 1-4 HR .290BA Sano, 1B: 0-3, BB .260BA Rosario, LF: 1-4 .238BA Donaldson, 3B: 1-4 .279BA Arraez, 2B: 1-3, R .308BA Berrios, SP: 2-3, RBI 1B, RBI 2B, .667BA Buxton, CF: 0-4 .237BACruz PH for Romo in 8th, 0-1.No stats accumulated for Tyler Duffey, Sergio Romo, or Taylor Rodgers.Batting 2B: Kepler (10, leads team), Arraez (6), Berrios (1, 1st career) HR: Kepler (8), Garver (8) RBI: Kepler (11), Garver (15), Berrios 2 (2) Fielding E: Sano (2) Los Angeles Betts, RF: 0-3 .308BA Muncy, 1B: 1-4 HR .282BA Turner, 3B: 1-4 2B .288BA Bellinger, CF 0-3 .339BA Seager, SS 1-3 .225BA Smith, C 0-3 .213BA Pederson, LF 1-4 HR .271BA Lux, 2B 0-3 .340BA Kershaw, P 0-1 .125BATaylor entered as PH in 5th for Kershaw, 0-1. Catch-UpThe Twins biggest test all year, the Dodgers biggest test all year, and boy was game one worth the price of admission. A back and forth chess-match ballgame yesterday went the way of the Twins in a 3-2 victory but today is the game we've had circled on the calendar all year. It's Clayton Kershaw versus Jose Berrios...need I say more. Bomba Tracker - 2019 through 30 games: 52 - 2020: 43 Storylines 1. The Twins handed the Dodgers only their second lose of the year at Dodger Stadium yesterday and today it will be a tall order to make it two in a row. In the Live-Ball Era (since 1920) Clayton Kershaw's home ERA (2.15) is the best by any pitcher with at least 1,000 IP at home. 2. Although it's been a rough start to the season, LaMaKina has had some dazzling starts and he'll need his best stuff if he wants to stay toe to toe with Kershaw tonight. 3. The Twins are 12-12 in the month of April after going 5-1 in March and with this being the final game of April, Rocco's club will look to make it two winning months in a row while the Dodgers have gone 18-6 in the month of April after going 5-0 in March.

Catch-Up Was Sunday the spark the Bomba Squad needed? After a FIVE Bomba day and a 9-3 win over Boston, the Twins are shipping off to California to take on the best team in baseball, the LA Dodgers. Although it is only a two game series, this should prove to be the Twins biggest test yet as well as the Dodgers, as Win Percentage wise this is the best team the Dodgers have played thus far. The Twins enter the Golden State and begin a two game set with the hottest team in baseball as well as best team in their home stadium, 14-1 record at Dodger Stadium. 2. After a home run barrage against Martin Perez, this Twins lineup, whose had success all year against leftys, will face their toughest test yet in David Price who ranks 2nd in the NL in regards to fewest home runs allowed with 2. 3. Both teams had the day off on Monday so they should be ready to go. The Bomba Squad versus the best team in baseball tonight at 7:10pmCT.

Miss the game? https://www.twitch.tv/videos/603410329Want to skip the pre-game? Time Stamp 22:10So this would be the game to not only decide the series, but the homestand as well. With the Indians dropping a game earlier today, a win would put the Twins a half game back of the AL Central lead which seemed impossible about a week ago. So we enter Sunday's contest, after back to back 2-1 games, with another pitcher's duel on paper set for the contest. The forecast for the game called for 70 degrees and clear skies, but it was "Sanoing" early. https://clips.twitch.tv/AliveTemperedSpaghettiMVGameThe Red Sox would answer and tie it up but as we alluded to back on Friday, the Twins were looking for a statement game to light a fuse and ignite the Bomba Squad; today might've been that day. https://clips.twitch.tv/PiercingCharmingTortoisePeteZarollTieOne of the things frequently mentioned in our streams this year is, "what are your favorite moments in baseball?" This next clip solidifies what I love so much about baseball. Forget all the Bomba's, forget all the strikeouts, this sequence was awesome. A walk, followed by a move me over groundball, ends with this play from Buxton. A terrific sequence and a great piece of hitting. https://clips.twitch.tv/ImportantAgreeableBarracudaPJSaltSo at this point the Twins are up 4-1 and things are looking good for the home nine, this is the point where I'd ask if you were paying attention. Like we've seen all year, the bad guys battle back and who else, other than Rafael Devers. https://clips.twitch.tv/UnusualGrotesqueHummingbirdYouDontSayDown to his final strike, battling against Smeltzer, the thirdbaseman for the Red Sox delivers once again. So what are we guaranteed at this point: this will not for the third day in a row be a 2-1 game, and we are also guaranteed, that the Bomba Squad has awoken in Minnesota. https://www.twitch.tv/thuuuuney/clip/GenerousBrightMagpieEleGigglehttps://clips.twitch.tv/PopularYummyEggplantKevinTurtle (this one is a fun one).So five Bombas and some excellent pitching propels Minnesota to it's first winning homestand of the season as they take the finale against Boston 9-3.
