When I started posting bizarre things 12 thousand posts ago... It took about a thousand posts before I realized that I had to start typing... "I'm Serious" and "It's True" or "Actually" when it was kinda factual and I think this need developed because of every other post I made. -
It's the Twins vs. the White Sox. Twins fans are heading into Chicago with a positive vibe after the excellent extra inning win in Kansas City; and we've had day off to feel good about it. We were worried about Sano and his hamstring and that hamstring kept him out of the lineup on Wednesday; but this turned out to be good because Sano hit the game winning pinch hit home run. If he was in the starting lineup he could only hit where he hits in the order and maybe is pinch run for. If allowed to pinch hit... he can pinch hit whenever he is needed at any time and so it isn't unreasonable to say that the hamstring issue helped us win one. With that said... put him in the lineup against the White Sox. Let's not roll that dice again. Here are some things to think about: It's the Twins vs. the White Sox. If allowed to pinch hit... he can pinch hit whenever he is needed at any time and so it isn't unreasonable to say that the hamstring issue helped us win one. With that said... put him in the lineup against the White Sox. Let's not roll that dice again. Here are some things to think about: 1. Chicago -- Lake Michigan... because of it's sheer size, it is nearly impossible to drive across; and because of this... anyone driving from west to east and east to wast are forced to turn right or left and roll through Illinois and Chicago in an attempt to drive around the lake just to get to the other side. Illinois quickly realized this strategic location and put up toll booths every 75 feet to take advantage of this natural bottleneck. This was a boon for the Illinois DOT budgets, but on the downside... in order to control major transportation routes in America... Chicago will become a key early target. Chicago will be an easy capture because everybody is drunk and can't shoot straight at this moment. Things are safe for the time being because in Canada... everybody is also drunk and they don't own weapons. 2. White Sox -- Raise your hand if you remember when the White Sox were based out of St. Paul. For those of you who raised your hand... put your hand down now or a nurse will show up to empty something. The White Sox were the Sioux City Cornhuskers (this is true) when they were purchased by Charles Comiskey in 1894 and then moved to St. Paul to become the St. Paul Saints (this is also true). Six years later they moved to Chicago to become the White Stockings (this ist true, too) and they have been around since and have functioned as a 115 year old marketing stunt (I'm saying this is true). The White Sox are well loved with fans around the entire world (this is not true). 3. Hamstrings -- Migual Sano has become the favorite Twin for nearly everybody. When he isn't in the lineup some fans decide to watch re-runs of Little House on the Prairie instead. Sano has been slowed by a sore hamstring, and by slowed I mean... Trevor Plouffe is now faster. In order to talk about a hamstring intelligently I used Wikipedia for a simple explanation of the hamstring. It turns out that I don't know what semitendinosus and semimembranosus means so now I'm more confused. I can tell you that I've eaten an actual string that was tied around a ham by accident. 4. Catcher -- After Kurt Suzuki received a suicide pass from Blaine Boyer on Wednesday night, Zuke had to be helped off the field and the replay showed an unusual bending of the leg around the knee area. If Kurt is out for an extended period of time this means that the Twins will have to reach the world series with someone else behind the dish. Current Candidates for this position are Chris Herrmann, Eric Fryer, Josmil Pinto, Joe Mauer and Sid Hartman. Of the 5 candidates... Sid Hartman has the highest on base percentage. 5. Calf Injury -- I've never pulled a hamstring in my life but I've injured a calf while eating some veal. ------------------- Game-time forecast: It's currently gray and rainy and gloomy in Chicago. I need to get to the gym and this weather is not conducive to physical activity indoors, let alone outdoors. However, by 7pm this rain should have moved on, be partly cloudy, with still a small chance of precipitation but probably not. It will be a chilly 62 deg F with winds from the N at 15mph. I'll be wearing long pants and a sweatshirt to the game tonight; and I'll bring my rain gear just in case. Lineups: TWINS Hicks CF Dozier 2B Mauer 1B Sano DH Plouffe 3B Rosario LF Hunter RF Suzuki C Escobar SS Santana P WHITE SOX Easton CF Abreu DH Cabrera LF Garcia RF LaRoche 1B Ramirez SS Brantley C Olt 3B Johnson 2B Johnson P Go Twins! OK... My List... Only stadiums I've been to and Only stadiums that still exist. I've also been to the Metrodome... Old Yankee... Comiskey and Tiger Stadium... The Metrodome would be the worst by far... Although I did like getting blown out the door after the game and I kinda miss that. 1. AT&T -- Great Location... Great Look... Unique Features and the sight lines were incredible in my opinion. Sat up in RF and I could see if the pitch was a curve or not. I really don't understand how that was possible but it was clear as day. No Stadium comes close in my opinion. 2. Fenway -- The Stadium just got me... everything about it. The neighborhood around it is fantastic. The Wall is impressive and it just hangs over everything is a good way. The Shape of it is unique and there is an energy about the place... A Baseball Energy. Never thought I'd like an older stadium but this one is wonderful. 3. PNC Park -- Pittsburgh just surprised me in total. The City is one of the most beautiful cities I've seen. I was thinking... industrial and grimy and dirty. It's a beautiful city with the Hills and Bridges. The Park fits the city like a glove. It's like an architect looked at the City and space and designed exactly what it should be. 4. Camden Yards -- It's a baseball stadium built for baseball... Great Sight Lines and the area behind RF is the perfect place to enter. Perhaps no other stadium makes you feel like you are at baseball game like Camden Yards does. The main downside is that Baltimore sucks and Parking is a long long walk and that walk is through Baltimore and Baltimore sucks. 5. Kaufman -- It's a fairly old stadium compared to most but still surprisingly modern looking. It doesn't feel old and the fountains are just a great touch. On hot days the Fountain can mist enough to cool you down a little. Behind RF is a nice place to hang. I was charmed by it. 6. Target Field -- It's great... I really don't have a problem with it at all. It's just above average and that's all. The View of the Skyline and that big dog on the Target Center is confined to that little peep hole in RF. It's beautiful but not in comparison to others. 7. Citi Field -- I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised... It's a beautiful stadium and the constant stream of Airplanes flying over was an added bonus. Queens is kind of fun... At least the part I was in was. I didn't see the Eddie Murphy part I guess. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below this line is the next level and they don't match up with the top 7. 8. Miller Park -- This one I rank a little higher than others because it's an impressive looking facility from the outside. As you drive to it on the interstate it's an incredible sight. Miller Park and Kaufman are two of the best stadiums to drive toward and view. Inside it is... as mentioned a sweat box... it really holds the heat but the stadium itself has enough gimmicks and unique features to be interesting. 9. Ball Park at Arlington -- Lacks a decent Neighborhood surrounding the stadium. It is surrounded by Parking Lots and Fields. Inside it's just OK... Although the CF area is somewhat decent. Good View of the bullpens and activity in them is a plus but Bullpen View isn't high on my list. 10. Progressive Field -- Nothing Special... Nothing Terrible. The Grounds Crew does a nice job with the Grounds. They have a stunning patch of green. Otherwise it's just average. 11. Wrigley Field -- I was mostly just happy to be there to say that I've been there. But... If I had to rank it... It just doesn't score that high. I'm not a fan of watching games around poles. Ivy on the walls doesn't impress me and I didn't know who sang take me out to the ball game. 12. SafeCo -- I was not impressed... I don't understand the high rankings at all. It isn't what I call an overly beautiful park and the atmosphere was just kinda lacking and that train whistle. It's LOUD and It made me spill my drink. The stadium just kinda ended up bugging me. I did enjoy Seattle though. 13. Rogers Centre -- It is the worst by far...The Sun seems to bounce off of everything. The Walls look plastic... The Grass Looks Plastic. If you sit in the upper deck... the players look like ants. I think they learned how to make better stadiums after this one was built.

I can do that in one post. Baseball is a funny game. On the other hand... Clowns are at their most funny when they pull a 30 foot scarf out of their mouth and look surprised it's that long and still coming out. I'd advise all Clowns to do that in their act. -
