  1. Fans might soon forget our center fielder's name because it seems like we never have him out there for more than 2 weeks straight. Buxton better find out a way to stay healthy or else it looks like the Yankees have the better CF. I'd take a reliable Hicks over an injury prone Buxton anyday.
  2. I'm beginning to think there's some sort of curse on Twins bullpen pitchers that have a last name starting with M. I think Trevor and Matt should change their last names to Ray and Ragil if they don't want to end up like Morin.
  3. This team was a poser the first 60 games of the season. The past few weeks have shown this team's true colors - a little above average, around .500 baseball club.
  4. The Twins are stacked on outfielders. It'll be interesting to see which one is dealt at the deadline.
  5. Twins have an open spot on the 40 man and Wade is probably going to be out for a while so it would be smart to add another outfielder on the 40 just in case something happens to Cave and/or another starting outfielder.
  6. Give Rooker a chance for a game. Cave hasn't done much of anything for the Twins when he's been up.
  7. The talent the Twins have in the minors is pretty impressive. Will be interesting to see what guys are dealt at the deadline
  8. Kinda needed to win that one because tomorrow's game might get a little dicey.
  9. Well I was thinking Polanco being the best contact hitter on the team. Polanco has more ABs and thus a more proven hitter than Astudillo or Arraez.
  10. I'd bet a lot of money on Gordon being a key trade chip for the deadline
  11. Arraez needs to stay up. He's arguably our second best contact hitter on the team right now.
  12. This better not be the front office's only move to try and better the bullpen, but it probably will be given their history.
  13. Ok? Just because I wanted to make a prediction about a couple of players having good games you think I'm taking something. Next time just don't even reply to me.
  14. If our worse slump of the season is this (losing 4 out the last 5) that would be pretty impressive. Let's turn it around tomorrow and take the last 3 of the series. I'm predicting Sano is gonna have a great game and Perez will give us 7 shutout innings tomorrow.
  15. And he's been clutch in playoffs. That's what the Twins are missing.
  16. I think people need to look beyond his regular season numbers for a second and realize that Bumgarner would provide something very important for this team: successful playoff experience. Berrios and Perez are the only ones in the rotation with past playoff experience. Berrios in playoff games? 3 IP with 3 ER. Perez in playoff games? 5 IP with 4 ER. Bumgarner in playoff games? 102.1 IP with 24 ER. A 2.11 ERA.
  17. Garver catching a great game for 17 innings I think should make up for his couple blunders plus he also did score 1 of the 3 Twins runs
  18. Polanco bunting in that situation was such a bad decision. That easily was the play that lost us the game. You call for the best hitter in the league to bunt with runners on 1st and 2nd and no out? Bonehead management.
  19. Schoop was out by a mile trying to stretch that single. Terrible read and not a good call when down by two. Runners in scoring position is great, but making the final out of the inning on the base paths is not great. Twins have obviously shown the ability to drive balls into the gaps or over the fence so while that extra base would be nice it's not worth the risk especially for a slower guy like Schoop.
  20. Honestly his stuff isn't even all that great (7.3 K/9). The only thing that was making him somewhat decent for the first couple weeks was his command, but if that continues to be bad then he should be the first one to be kicked out of the BP if the Twins get an arm before the deadline.
