Did you know Darryl Strawberry slugged 1.000 for the Saints in 1996?

Darryl Strawberry met the media Friday prior to a jersey retirement ceremony on Saturday night with the Saints. St. Paul got a late start due to inclement weather but had plenty of fireworks, and the system provided plenty of strong performances.

The Minnesota Twins have one of the best starting rotations in all of baseball. Minnesota’s front office has done an incredible job employing high-ceiling arms, and they have been supplemented by depth. One of the overlooked arms may be former playoff starter Randy Dobnak.

The Twins can hope the injury bug avoids the team in the season's final weeks, but that seems unlikely. Here are seven St. Paul Saints players who can be helpful pieces as the calendar creeps closer to September.

The entire Twins system was on display on Thursday, but the highlight may have taken place at one of the lowest levels. The FCL club saw a professional debut for the 2023 first overall draft pick, and the DSL team may have have the best hitting performance. 

From the Dominican to Fort Myers to Iowa. From Cedar Rapids to Wichita. Then up to Minnesota where the Saints are just 10 miles from fulfilling their dreams at Target Field. The St. Paul Saints came home to face the Louisville Bats and one of their top prospects on Tuesday. It was also the first time Brooks Lee, Yunior Severino, and DaShawn Keirsey Jr. got to play in front of their home fans. They were joined by a former top prospect on a rehab assignment. They combined to bash the visiting team into submission.

Twins top pick Walker Jenkins had a bit of a breakout game. And, there are a lot of exciting things happening at CHS Field. If you're able, you will definitely want to see some games there this week. 

There has been a lot going on in the minor leagues of late, with new players joining the organization and others moving within the organization. We've seen the professional debut of many recent signings, including the top rookie. And we've seen the Triple-A debut of a handful of prospects, including the top prospect. All in all, it was a fun week on the farm. 

The Twins affiliates were all in action on Sunday. Only one of them won, but Cory Lewis and Dalton Shuffield highlighted the best performances.

It wasn’t a good outcome Friday for the St. Paul Saints, but Brooks Lee made his Triple-A debut and entered the game making a quick impact. Ben Ethridge was the star on the mound for the Mighty Mussels.
