This kinda begs the question: Would you rather have a competitive team in a dive of a stadium, like Oakland, or a team like the Twins and a home ballpark like Target Field?

 

Either way you have the odor...

Bad team in a nice ballpark over playing in Al Davis Stadium or whatever the hell it's called. The Metrodome with a good team would be a different story.

That park is horrible...it was bad in the mid-80s...I used to go there quite a bit. Yuck.

Now hold on a second, I believe the city of Oakland (and the territorial concsious Giants) say the Collesium is just fine and the A's don't need new digs in San Jose.

I liked Oakland everytime I visited- although I was based in around the downtown/Lake Merreit. Been by the Coliseum but never in it. It's been a few years, but it seems like it was in the middle of nowhere. Makes me appreciate Target Field
