Jarvis Ardel Brown was born  March 26. 1967. He was drafted by the Twins in the 1st round, 9th overall, in the 1986 draft. He made his MLB debut on July 2, 1991 and was added to the playoff roster which won the World Series. He left via free agency in 1992 and played for a few more teams that absolutely nobody cares about.

Jarvis was yet another player I watched play when he was with the Orlando Twins. I didn't realize that he was picked at #9 in the first round! I recall him having a lot of speed but not much power. Didn't he also have a brother that played in the majors too?

Fun Fact;

Jarvis Brown was who Gene Larkin pinch hit for in Game 7 of the 1991 World Series.

He was in as a pinch runner for Chili Davis (who had already hit two HR in the World Series) with no outs in the bottom of the 9th.

Some things never change with the Twins!

We call it 'The Gene Larkin Story' for some reason. Maybe because he didn't stick around for so long either....
