swanny132 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 As a Saints employee (I'm a custodian) who enjoys watching Miranda play, I like having him at AAA. He's been raking since he got here, so I'm wondering why they don't call him up to play 3rd, especially with Donaldson taking over the DH spot lately.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 I’m pretty sure he hasn’t received the call due to 40-man roster decisions the move requires but let’s just say that I, uh, strongly disagree with that reasoning.

You wouldn't be implying DFA'ing my favorite pitcher Ian Gibaut to make room?!

Unwinder Verified Member Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 This team is in deep, hopeless need of pitching, and I still think calling up Miranda should be the top priority.
LastOnePicked Verified Member Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Well, I can see what the FO is thinking in keeping him stashed at AAA. You don't want to bring up a rookie who's had a pretty slow season right in the middle of a pennant chase. Especially when he'd play behind a starter who's been healthy all year. Oh, wait.
