snepp Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Bensy is having a rough day out in the field.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Ben has got to do better!! Did you bring all these crickets in here?
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 So this Vasquez guy sucks balls. NEXT!!
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 That's the Morneausie I remember so well.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 So this Vasquez guy sucks balls. NEXT!! I suppose it's possible for a team to take someone else's pitcher who gets good strikeout ratios in the minors but can't translate it to major league success, and find the key to unlocking the potential. But not the Twins. They keep mining other teams' fireballing slag heaps, they keep finding fools gold.
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Revere's running around the bases like nobody's bidness.
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Twins sent down in order by a guy wth a mullett
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Geez Revere is quick -- and fast. Can someone explain what happened on his non-steal of third a few innings ago? (maybe the 4th or 5th?)
snepp Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Twins sent down in order by a guy wth a mullett Was it greasy?
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Add baserunning coach/drills to the punch list.... not just because of this, but because this is just the latest.
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Twins sent down in order by a guy wth a mullett Was it greasy? No, it looked pretty free flowing back there.
snepp Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 No, it looked pretty free flowing back there. That's not so bad, as long as it's not Ponsonian™.
J-Dog Dungan Provisional Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Looks like the people who wanted a win and the ones that wanted a loss will both be right. I can't tell who is going to win.
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Twins with a walk-off, Vikes in OT on the same afternoon in Minneapolis. Probably won't see that againi for a while. Love seeing Morneau crush baseballs like that.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 It's nice to see a walk off HR, especially when it is Morneau. I would have been a bit more exciting if Mauer hit a walk off HR, thus completing hitting for the cycle. Oh well, a great end result either way. When Morneau was trotting around the bases, I was a bit concerned with the home plate celebration - don't slap Morneau's head! Some did. You have be careful. Morneau is starting to resemble his former self. Punch him in the gut or something - stay away from his noggin.

CDog Provisional Member Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 The Twins page on ESPN has the Elias note that this wasn't the first time Morneau has had a multi-homer game that included one of them being a walk off. In fact it was his THIRD time! That seemed like a pretty rare event and I was quite surprised anyone had done it that often. Turns out, David Ortiz and Todd Helton have also done it three times each. Amazing.
