Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Split squad. Coaches went with the B-team and minor leaguers up to Bradenton. A-team staying back and playing Baltimore B-team. Polanco just hit a granny. Buxton having good at bats. Hughsie getting roughed up a little.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 Hughsie taken yard again in top of third. Kepler had an outfield assist earlier. No wild throws by Polanco or Sano. Did I mention how much I like Buxton this year? 5-3 Twins, middle of the 3rd.
Linus Verified Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Has Garver even played? Giminez seems to be playing alot.
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Bums me out Hughes will be a starter on this team. Is what it is.
Linus Verified Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Danny Santana - player of the game.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 Good question about Garver. He doesn't appear in many lineups.

FormerMinnasotan Provisional Member Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Vogelsong looked putrid against the Pirates. 2.1 ip 3 runs (all earned) against Pittsburgh. His spring training ERA is now 7.94.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 That explains it. Would like to see him at least at AAA.

His spring training ERA is now 7.94.Except for the three home runs, all the other hard contact, the hit batsman while trying to pitch inside, falling behind in counts, all against Baltimore's minor leaguers, except for all of that, sounds like Hughes had a good outing too. Atteberry and Gladden can't say enough good things about it, anyway.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Good question about Garver. He doesn't appear in many lineups.I don't think Garver has started much, but he has come in and has gotten playing time in games. I think he's a long shot as back up catcher anyway. Not quite ready for prime time, imo. He'll start in AAA I would think.
