As long as Mauer is the DH and not 1B where he has a .569 OPS this year. I'd prefer to not have a negative WAR at 1B and C everytime Liriano pitches.

It was a great win today and nice series sweep. I know the A's are not a good team, we've got to start some where. There were several positives to take from Liriano's outing: good velocity, nice break on his slider, better mechanics for the most part, and not imploding at the first sign of adversity. Let's hope this continues.
