The Minnesota Twins finally put together a complete team game Sunday at Target Field and beat Detroit 5-1, avoiding a sweep. Sminon Woods Richardson delivered a solid start and the bullpen was nearly perfect for four innings. Byron Buxton provided the spark at the plate, hitting a home run in the first inning and later adding a hustle double. Edouard Julien also homered, and wore the new celebration item: A Spartan warrior’s helmet. There’s more discussion on that game plus all of the minor league action from Sunday.
