It's Time To Option Luke Keaschall To Triple-A

Keaschall had a good, but injured, rookie season in 2025, but has taken a step back in 2026. Is it time for a reset in St. Paul?

Luke Keaschall was supposed to be a key contributor for the Twins. Instead, two-and-a-half months of struggles have left the Twins facing a difficult decision they may no longer be able to avoid.

Keaschall quietly had a good May and start to June.

Here is his stat line since May 1st:  .281/.385/.359/.744/13.9% K-rate/11.4% BB rate/ 114 WRC+

He isn't hitting for much power (6 2Bs and 1 3B) and we really aren't expecting him to, but he has been getting on base lately.  Personally, I would like to see more 2Bs, but as long as he gets on base he can create runs with his speed and base stealing ability.  His .385 OBP in that timeframe puts him a 21st in MLB of all qualified hitters.
