The Minnesota Twins lost to the Tigers 8-7 Wednesday at Target Field but they didn't go down without a fight. Down four runs entering the bottom of the ninth, homers by Jorge Polanco and Max Kepler brought the deficit down to one run. Matt Wallner missed another walk-off homer by mere feet and the Twins could not complete the comeback. Down in the minors, both Louie Varland and Travis Adams pitched into the seventh inning while Alex Isola stayed hot at the plate, hitting his 16th home run. Also, Brooks Lee, Austin Martin and Yunior Severino combined to turn an impressive double play for the Saints.
