  1. Fielding and finding him a position to play him at should be. He has been moved around from 2B- CF and DH interchangeably. Need to give him 1 spot and focus on that and worry about his future projectability if he ever gets close to the Majors.
  2. Note the bold: Eddie Rosario is a late bloomer, but he was also drafted rather than signed from the DR. Rosario's best fit is in CF but he just doesn't have the arm so right now hes a fringe guy for me. Might end up as a 2B but he had little success there thus far in the minors.
  3. Liam is a AAAA player and that's it. He'll always excel in the minors where a slow fastball and decent breaking stuff (for minors) location can dominate the majority of line ups. He makes it to Minn. and cant succeed in one of the best pitcher friendly ball parks in the majors. I assume the O's will make significant changes to Liam's delivery and maybe repertoire.
  4. Dozier was born in '91 and projects as a 3B. Probably doesn't have much "star" potential and quite honestly I feel like it was a lazy pick when you consider McGuire got a 2.4 bonus, Crawford got a 2.3. Granted the slotting scale for those picks are different, but you assume you can get them at around 2.6 or so instead of Dozier at 2.2. Crawford as touched on by an analyst has "star" potential, and McGuire is TBD- but someone I really like. Both are also 3 years younger and have more potential than Dozier despite Dozier having a higher base.
  5. I don't see a problem with this list from 1-7. Probably push Kohl Stewart to #4 because Rosario is quite old for his level and has questions in term of future position and his suspension. I would slide Walker into 8, Pinto into 9 and Kepler to 10. If you put Rosario at 5, then 5-7 are interchangeable. I am not completely sold on Walker yet, although I do like him quite a bit. I would love to see him fill out his frame and you could be looking at a lot better overall player.
  6. Translation: Beloit is a piece of **** ,the field sucks, and the atmosphere does as well. Drawing less than 100 people in May during the middle of the week was awesome. In Beloit, you could hear crickets chirp at games. Fort Wayne is the best in the league, and Cedar Rapids is about average, but a much welcome change.
  7. It will be interesting to see how Harrison, Walker and Kepler do in A ball next year (most likely in CR). IF the Twins do draft Appel I'm pretty sure he would start in high A but that's dependent on Iinnings Pitched and his Pitch Count from Stanford. It will be interesting to see how Manea does with ISU this year and if he can work himself into a top 3 pick. I also wouldn't be suprised if they take a long look at Stanek if Appel is gone. Other than the top 3 pitchers there isn't much in the class P wise.
  8. I think he is back to Beloit. After promoting Ryan O'Roruke (Street of Fire) there are 24 active guys on the team. I assume that Rosario will get in today and play most likely tomorrow or Thursday.
  9. I believe that he will stay with the Miracle. Arcia last year had a injury that required some attention, but it was nothing major. He went to Fort Myers and never came back. The one exception would be coming back for the plaoyffs.......
  10. I love Jones. I can see him right now as the equivalent to Bruce Rondon of the Tigers in the MWL. He throws low 90s but if they dont over use him he can develop into a very nice closer. I really hope he doesnt get the Mad Boer treatment of being a reliever in Beloit, throwin decent and then being moved to SP the next year.

  12. its a lot easier than it sounds. The main thing is getting player salarys into the clubhouse. You basically take over a team for a few weeks.
  13. I spoke with Seth a while ago to see if users would be interested in doing a Mock Trade Deadline. I have participated in these on other sites and they normally work out. If there is enough interest, Seth said that he would be able to create the necessary forums. A minimum of 30 users is needed and as many people as want can join. If more than 30 people sign up some teams will have Co-Gm's. MLB Mock trade deadline: 30 teams in the MLB so at least 30 users are needed. This means that if more than 30 people sign up that gms will be asked to co-gm. You and your parnter will be responsible for running 1 team. Each team is required to have a Clubhouse in the Clubhouse thread. In your Clubhouse you will need your 25 man roster, your players salarys, teams top 25 prospects as well as any roster moves you make. You are allowed to have more guys in your clubhouse until you are called to set your roster down to 25 (not just for playoff teams). You do not have to worry about a player being rule 5 eligible and where to place him. You have every single player that is in the system to trade if you please so. Trading/FA: A trade comittee is needed. 5 people works the best but any odd number would do. When a trade is sent in that is questionable by any means it will be sent to the trade comittee. This is needed if someone were to trade Joe Mauer for prospects in the 15-18 range or anything like that. Trading will be done by a per team basis. Each team will have its own individual cap. Meaning that some teams will have more free money than others, teams with extremly high caps may not see their cap increased at all. You may cut a player. For the sake of this game a player will be on waivers for 1 day. If the player gets claimed by a team then the team cutting him will pay 1/4 his slary as well as the team claiming him will pay 3/4 the salry. If the player does not get claimed after 24 hours the team releasing him will pay 1/2 the salary. The player will now a free agent and have his own thread. NO INTERNATIONAL FA's. Minors: You are allowed to trade any prospects in your orgination. Un realisitic trades will not be allowed. You can trade stars for prospects but not an orgianization top 10 per say unless more players from the other team are tossed in as well. The minors have no rhyme or reason, you can call up players as you need. Keep in mind you can build for the future and trade for prospects but every team must keep 25 players on their team the whole time. If you trade a reliever, an outfielder and a bench player you can get 3 prospects back. You have to include what players from the minors (or signings) you are calling up This prevents a team from offering their top 4 prospects for 1 player. A trade can include as many teams as you want as long as no team is getting raped or giving up an absurd amount of players Teams: There will be a 3 day sign up period. You sign up for a SPOT and if you want to co-gm state that in the post. Teams will be drawn at Random. We will consider doing it in a Tinychat or chatzy type of thing. By signing up for the trade deadline you undestand that you could get the Rangers or Royals. If you want only 1 team and will quit if you dont get thast team dont sign up and waste our time. Awards: At the end of this there will be awards. Each gm will be asked to vote. Some awards include: Best Gm, Best future, other award nominees will be accepted. Playoffs: Divisions will be voted on by the opposing leagues Gm's. The team with the most votes for each divison will win that divison. Wild card will be decided by the team with the most votes in the respective league that did not win the divison. In case of a tie a 163 game will be posted. I will post the match up and it will affect how your rotation is set based off your clubhouse (If your the Giuants Lincecum can't start game 163 and the first game of the playoff series). A playoff rotation (for those teams in the playoffs) will be required to be in your clubhouse. Forums needed: MLB-Trade dadline Sub forums: Free Agents (Roy Oswalt, etc), Trade Block In the MLB trade deadline forum: Announcements (includes firing a Gm that is unactive for more than 30 hours with out having a co), requests for trades, Gm list, gm check in thread, as well as a lounge. The lounge will be used to discuss anything that you want as well as reactions to trades, prospects and whatever else. Salarys: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/ Gms with a player who has a no trade clause or a partial no trade clause will have to submit a request. A player may be traded a max of 2 times before the Gm has to submit a request while prospects can be traded as many times as you want. To find out if your player has a NTC hit cntrl f on the link above. If there is anything I forgot or I could make clearer let me know. Also, if this needs to be moved to a different forum, feel free and move it.
  14. I am actually starting to warm up to the idea of Correa. he looks really really nice. In a few years sano will be moced to 1B or Corner Outifeld and Arcia will be the other. Correa will be able to play SS or 3b. So in a few years you could be looking at: DH: Morneau 1B: Sano (all though I wouldnt be totally suprised if Mauer is here) C: TBD (Mauer) 3B: Travis Harrison (maybe, hope he can field the ball) SS: Correa 2B: Rosario (good candidate to be moved to CF) CF: Hicks?, Span? Kepler? COF: Arcia COF: Morales? That is a lot of power and Correa also can hit for average obviously.
  15. The one yesterday barley made it out in the corner. His next at bat though he smoked on over the stadium about 5 feet of the pole. That was a blast.
  16. Prada screwed that game up though. He had 2 catchers playing (dh and C). He pinch hit Sano for an outfielder or something like that and then took sano out and put another OF in or something. He should have picnh hit Sano for the DH or done a double switch and and had the Catcher dhing play C and then Sano take DH taking the Catcher who was playing C out.
  17. Another thing to consider is the pitching he has seen. He has proven that he can hit off slow throwing relievers and starters. It will be interesting to see how he does against Tyrell Jenkins, Drew Gangon and Austin wood. I would like to see him against Archie, Syndergaardm Nicolino or Sanchez but they don't play them.
  18. I have been to around 6-7 Beloit games so far maybe more. The umpires this league in the MWL aren't that good but thats not Sanos problem. The only stat that I saw is 6 home runs and for all I know what I have said can be completly wrong but it is what I believe. He has tremendous power to the opposite field, he hit a ball over the deck and into the field kiddy corner to the foul pole the other night.
  19. Hitting one in a long time isn't a problem. Teams have been pitching around him even throwing intentional walks. They just dont want to pitch to him and when they do it is stuff on the out side corner and half of the "strikes" should be balls....
  20. Being a Brewers/Minor league fan I see it being entirley possible that they would trade him if he does not pick his game up outside of Miller Park. Hes a good pitcher and would command fair value on the open market via trade. it would take at least 2 B prospects in order for a team to acquire him in my oppinion.
