  1. I think we need to pump the breaks a bit on Keaschall. Yes, he looks absolutely fantastic. Yes, he's also looked very good throughout his minor league time. But, there are way too many people to name that have started out absolutely on fire. While yes, he has even set a record with his play so far, the reason you need to give this time is the league will eventually have a solid scouting report on him. He'll need to make necessary adjustments. Once this happens, we'll have a much better chance to see where he's at. He may be awesome at that point too, but until this actually happens, we just need to be patient.
  2. I agree with bean5302 here. I have been watching him since the injury. When balls have been hit even close to him, he has dived for them. That indicates to me, he feels good enough out there to play the game hard.
  3. I don't have X and don't plan to start it up. Can someone please give an update that doesn't require one to go on X?
  4. I'll maybe get to 10 posts, but it'll probably be next season.
  5. At this point, I have to say, I honestly have seen little league teams play better than this team. I now wonder if Carlos Correa is taking his time because he was disappointed by the lack of any significant moves at the trade deadline. To put it another way, if the front office doesn't seem to care, why should I. I for one won't be watching any more. I'm done. Even if they make the playoffs, they will do nothing. OUT!!!
  6. I've also been noticing that teams pretty much run on us at will. Believe me, if we enter the playoffs, this will be a factor. Good teams find a way to take advantage of your weaknesses. The inability to throw out runners is getting embarrassing. Singles turn into doubles pretty quickly. I know there is way more wrong with this team and people are definitely talking about those things. I don't see a lot of people talking about this glaring weekness though. I'm losing hope that Correa is going to come back and be the savior. I really like him, but I have a suspicion that the front office knows more behind the scenes then they are letting on. We get very few updates thrown our way. Getting Buxton back should help, but we need not only a healthy Buxton, but also a fairly healthy Correa and I'm not holding my breath. This team is OK, but just ok. I don't see them going very far in the playoffs. I hope I'm wrong.
  7. We are entering a crucial part of our schedule here in the coming days. The Twins play Texas for 4 games followed by 3 with the Padres. On paper, the 4 with the Rangers should be winnable games. The 3 with the Padres, will certainly be a test as their record indicates they are going to be tough to beat. Meanwhile, the Guarians have an off day today. That's important because the Twins, barring a rainout, are either going to be 4 games behind or 5 behind after they play the 1st of 4 with Texas. You really need to win games when the team you're chasing has a day off. Then the Guardians play 3 with Milwaukee, who we saw 1st hand, is a very talented team, followed by 3 with the Yankees who have had their fair share of struggles, nevertheless have a decent record. Once these 7 games are done, I'm going to be very interested in seeing what position the Twins find themselves in.
  8. Just saw the article myself. Stands to reason there was something wrong. Too bad because I was kind of hoping deep down that he could still help down the stretch. Looks pretty dismal now.
  9. He's been rehabbing for a while now and the velocity is still down. What are people's thoughts on him yet coming back and helping this team this year. I'm personally doubting it since the velocity is still down. Something doesn't seem right there. I know he's coming off any injury, but after rehabbing for a while, it just doesn't seem to me that progress is being made. It'd be awesome if he could regain at least some of what he brought in relief last year. Just looking for what others thoughts are on here.
  10. They have just been dribbling updates on this guy. They were going to have him sprint next and if that went well, possibly progress to going on a rehab. But am I imagining this or was the sprinting supposed to be a couple days ago? If so, no updates on how it went. Maybe I'm just missing something.
  11. Thank you for the kind words. I must add that for the most part I like the bullpen we have. I however don't have ANY confidence in Thielbar anymore. Yes he looked ok in one of his last appearances, but overall I think he is just done. Okert doesn't give me confidence either. They've been relying more and more on Cole Sands. I'm not extremely confident there either. Same with Duran. Out of all of those, I hope they let Thielbar go. He was good at one time, just past his time now. The Twins have a hard time letting players go though so I don't expect much there. Hopefully if they hang on to him, he doesn't get high leverage situations.
  12. First time poster here. Been lurking for quite a while though. Wanted to comment on something I don't see talked about much. I realize that the Phillies have an extremely good record. But has anyone noticed how mediocre they have been over the last 46 games? They are 25-21. They got off to such a blistering start that one could easily miss just how mediocre they have been since. The Twins took 2 of 3 from them and so did the Guardians. So I don't think we can really judge this team by how they played against the Phillies. The biggest thing that stands out is how they've played against all the other good teams not named the Phillies. It's horrendous!! But, we have a test coming up against Cleveland in a 4 game series shortly. We'll have a better idea then of just how good we are. By then we should have Correa back too which is essential if not just for his defense. Hopefully everyone else stays fairly healthy too. I'm curious to see if Topa can make a difference once he's done rehabbing too. But I really don't see management making any deals at the deadline to improve this team. What ya see is what ya get. If and it's a big IF, Topa does well, he might be a big part of this bullpen. And maybe that's all we need. Yes, we need another starter, but I don't see them trading for a top line starter.
