  1. Well...his stats this year are great and I could debate your old guy issue and give you examples ...fyi Ross is only 2 years younger.and there are some that have done well at Sabatos 27..but not worth extending this thread. I dont agree and I am not going to change your mind..you are not going to change mine..Shelty can..keep Jackson bench warming....and keep putting rosters forth..have a good day and
  2. Yeah..but he cannot hit the ball...he aids in making it 75 wins. I have almost no hope in him also...Sabato may not be the answer and will not be the final answer. But Royce has become a disappointment tment... not sure how much more of a leash the Twins can give him...dont get me wrong. Like his cheerleading and face paint and his defense has been good. ...but not sure if he can make the turn at the plate.
  3. I dont be I stated replace....Sabato plays other positions. . .they bring up all of these players and some are worse players than him. He will not be brought up at this stage and the subject irrelevant. This Jackson bench warming issue is ridiculous....one point off topic but shows how weird this whole roster building is with Shelty.
  4. Agree to disagree...he has better numbers than many of his peers (your term and prior rationale) who have been brought up as I showed you. So...why are these players better? Then they keep players like Jackson on the bench. You seem to really hate this guy.. cant figure out why? You dont need to waste your time responding....he will not be brought up..
  5. They seem to not been managing a roster even with the players they had previously. At this point in the season...I honestly don't agree. .with you....to each his own. My main point is that Sabato has shown better offensive numbers than some of those that have been brought up. They keep players on the bench that they do not play such as Jackson.. when the season is over at this point.
  6. WELL...does not hurt to try him out. I have seen him play...disagree.. as far as getting eaten alive...I can think of a few on the roster who meet that definition including the current 1st baseman who has had MANY ABs at the MLB level ...I doubt they will call him up...so it will be a nonissue....may need to think about those on the current roster being You also may want to check out the St Paul Stats "relative to peers"...his OPS is higher than Culpepper, Ross and several others...leads in many areas...so ??? You cannot compare his 410 ABs to a player who has only been there a handful of games. https://www.milb.com/st-paul/stats/ops?playerPool=ALL
  7. Considering Royce's current MLB stats are horrible....no need not to bring up Sabato who is setting records in AAA for a season . Try him out...royce has not been able to replicate his stats from AAA
  8. That should give him enough to go shopping....still recall his comment about it. I will say one thing...Buxton is cut from a different cloth than Correa.
  9. I am probably being mean on Correa. ..but I cannot stand the guy.. banging my garbage can...
  10. News flash: Correa reinjured his ankle...there goes the Astros chances in the playoffs. Oh well...will be out until next spring. It will give him time to go shopping at Christian Dior with the money he is still wins making from the Twins.
  11. I do believe it will start late next year,,,the sides are just too far apart. The Twins need a new GM who knows the sport and is not an apprentice and the owner needs to spend money on players and not just look for special $2.00 beers. wrestling attractions, etc.. There are some promising players in the system.....but there are decisions to make on returning players. ...and positions. They spent so much on trying to fix the bullpen after last year and attempting to find out who played where during the season. I HATE THE YANKEES AND NEED TO STOP WATCHING makes me ill>>>signing off
  12. ROGERS...you have your 10 year retirement benefits,,,retirement?
  13. falling helmet reminds me of Julien
  14. maybe they will add an extra team to the WC mix next year...it seems as all the pro leagues and even college are doing for $$$$$...getting a bit water downed in my opinion
  15. I do believe that he will be okay and should stay on the team for experience. I just hope he makes a better adjustment than Royce...who was another HS bump up that has not panned out in my opinion...so far...to be honest with you...could be a crowded and competitive outfield next year
  16. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2026/09/13/what-is-mlb-lockout-2027-salary-cap/91731111007/ I have always thought that Nightengale wrote good assessments. The link is a recent update on the state of negotiations. He made some points that I did not think about...
  17. I can think of a couple of more possibilities from St Paul who deserve tryouts
