  1. Same can be said for Boston. Both seem like good trade partners for the Twins...
  2. Quite top heavy. Twins, Astros, Boston, Cubs and Pitt have 21 of Keith's top 50.
  3. I'm guessing Rosario sneaks into his top 50. He's always been high on him...had him in his top 100 earlier than others and Rosario seems to have handled the jump to AA well.
  4. A needed update, thanks.
  5. I think you have to go with the 2 start guys...the percentages are just better dude. My main league that I've been in for a few years is a similar format. My thought is, if a guy isn't good enough to automatically be active when he has 2 starts, he doesn't belong on your roster.
  6. Probably not too surprising for this to happen. From what I've read/heard, post Tommy John velocity tends to return fairly quickly while command can take a while.
  7. I agree that as long as TR stays, Gardenhire probably will too. If TR thinks that its OK to have a manager that values bunting ability in a #2 hitter, another loosing season isn't going to change his mind.
  8. He'd be a prudent pick-up to hedge against Parmelee not panning out (considering Morneau is likely gone). He's not good enough to be more than a 1 or 2 year place-holder though...poor BA & OBP and maybe 20 HR power. He's more of a AAAA guy.
  9. My opinion of Zulgad dipped a bit with his football/baseball comparison. Besides, too many facts to the contrary to drink the "Twins have a chance this year" koolaid
  10. I'm not so sure. It does say 2-8 at the bottom of each page...
  11. I know its off the 11-20 topic, but a 60 grade on Hick's arm is a lot lower than I've seen elsewhere.
  12. As a guy who gets Insider for Law & Karabell I can paraphrase...He was the best pitcher in AZ fall league this year with a fastball sitting 92-94 he can contol down in the zone, a very good slider that works against rightys and leftys, and a solid change. Thinks there's a good chance he's the Twins' best pitcher by the end of the year (innings limits aside ). I also remember him saying on a podcast this fall that he's throwing as hard as he ever did, ditched the curve, and has a much better slider post surgery.
  13. Agree. A #2 ranking by KLaw, while a bit surprising, I think is in character for him. From reading and listening to him for a while, he seems to give more weight to high-upside/toolsy guys and not higher floor guys. Am very interested to see the ranks tomorrow.
  14. ESPN's Keith Law's top 100 comes out next week. It will be interesting to see where he ranks everyone. He said in a chat in December that he expects at least 7 Twins to make it. He's a fan of Rosario...so I'm guessing May, Berrios and Kepler are possibles for him.
  15. ESPN is reporting the Jair Jurrjens just agreed to a deal with Baltimore, 1 year for $1.5 million plus incentives Report -- Jair Jurrjens, Baltimore Orioles reach 1-year, $1.5M deal - ESPN. It doesn't seem like a bad roll of the dice on a guy that is 1 year removed from a season of 2.96 ERA, 152 IP, and 1.22 WHIP.
