  1. Thanks Chuck... I knew it was available at the stadium... I just didn't know if it was online or not yet, or if there is something official.
  2. Were they intimidated (or nervous) against the Yankees? Maybe... but they didn't play it. They played them well. Not just that series. But they've given the Yankees a lot of good games. What if Mauer's double down the LF line wouldn't have been inexplicably called foul? What if Joe Nathan wouldn't have had to go out for a third inning? They haven't played intimidated.
  3. Again, a couple of weeks ago, Commnman from The Platoon Advantage has proven that Hunter is clueless and the story isn't accuract at all. (http://www.platoonadvantage.com/2012/03/meddler-part-2-heyman-lets-torii-hunter.html) If you check out the fun Twitter War between Commnman and Heyman, it's entertaining.
  4. Hey Sanibel, I have the same roster as you do. As Travis said, there are like 31-32 names on it. above you wrote, "I think you need to check the roster of the Miracle." Where can one find that roster online?
  5. Caleb Thiebar gets to pitch the ninth inning for the Twins. The Northfield native signed with the Twins late last season, becoming the first player the Twins have signed from the St. Paul Saints. First batter - Matt Hague, homered on first pitch. Hague's 6th home run of the spring.
  6. This blog has been promoted to the frong page. Feel free to comment here: http://www.twinsdaily.com/showthread.php?638-Article-Fort-Myers-Miracle-Projections
  7. @BrianDozier's 3rd HR of the spring gives #Twins a 15-1 lead. He's good, and on the cover of my book, and there's a big story filled with qotes from him!! http://www.lulu.com/shop/seth-stohs/minnesota-twins-prospect-handbook-2012/paperback/product-18828149.html
  8. Joe Mauer with a 3-run double off the LF wall to give the Twins a 13-0 lead. Span and Plouffe each recorded their 3rd hit of the day prior to the double.
  9. According to this article by John Shipley, despite a very positive outing in a AAA game today against the Red Sox, Scott Baker was immediately put on the Disabled List. This means that the likely Twins rotation will include Liam Hendriks. Assumed rotation: Opening Night @ Baltimore - Carl Pavano Satrday @ Baltimore - Francisco Liriano Sunday @ Baltimore - Liam Hendriks Monday @ Target Field - Nick Blackburn.
  10. That's the question. With Parmelee taking 1B and Morneau DHing, Doumit's ABs will come when he catches and if he gets any time in RF (and I expect he and Plouffe will spend most of the time there. Parmelee is taking a lot of Doumit's ABs.
  11. Dozier singles in Valencia. Then Span singles. Then Plouffe doubled home Dozier. Mauer grounds out to score Span. 10-0. I like this offense!
  12. Catch 111 games, play 1B 27 games, DH 12 games. That puts him at 150 games played. I would be good with that breakdown. This thread is do discuss where Joe Mauer will play throughout the 2012 season. I guess for the negatives you can predict some DL time or whatever. But think about how much he'll catch, play 1B, DH, get days off, maybe get another game in RF, wherever. What are your predictions.
  13. Valencia double off the wall. Safe to say that Kevin Correia isn't exactly at the top of his game today, like he normally is.
  14. Ryan Doumit leads off the second with a long home run.
  15. After a Mauer fielder's choice, Morneau doubles over RF head to score Span (6-0).
  16. Bottom of the 2nd inning starts with singles by Morneau, Willingham and Doumit to load the bases (good speed on the bases there! HA!). Valencia singled in Morneau (1-0). Willingham scores on a Parmelee ground out (2-0). Dozier infield single scores Doumit (3-0). Span singles in Valencia (4-0). Plouffe singled in Dozier (5-0). (inning continuing)
  17. Parmelee has been a lock for a week. Burroughs hasn't played any outfield and he won't have to.
  18. Nope, they said all spring that he'd get some time in the IF too.
  19. Twins Lineup: Denard Span CF Trevor Plouffe 2B Joe Mauer C Justin Morneau DH Josh Willingham LF Ryan Doumit RF Danny Valencia 3B Chris Parmelee 1B Brian Dozier SS SP: Anthony Swarzak - followed by: Matt Capps, Glen Perkins, Esmerling Vasquez, Caleb Thielbar, Bruce Pugh, Luis Perdomo Reserves: Brian Dinkelman, Ben Revere, JR Towles, Sean Burroughs, Jamey Carroll, Luke Hughes, Alexi Casilla
  20. When the, article first came out a couple of weeks ago, it named Ford. But our friend, Commnman, did the, research and showed that Hunter's 'facts' were not correct. Heyman did take Ford's name out of the article but that's about it. Torii talks Just to talk. as we like to say, there's no I in team but two I's in Torii!
  21. So, you went up to this woman and said, "I really like your shirt. May I please take a picture of your chest, please? That would be great!"
  22. I want to burst out into the theme song for Cheers!! But thank you so much for the kind words. What you wrote above is exactly what we described when we set about on the trek to building this site. That's exactly what we wanted, a Twins community where we can talk about our favorite team. May not always agree, but can do so in a respectful manner. Thank you for verifying that we just may have done that!
  23. Correct... Harrison and Boyd will begin the year in EST. They may play for E-Town, but most likely start in the GCL.
