  1. 60 fans only? Are the allowed to roam the outfield stands for home run balls are all they all herded to one location. Open to everyone and you will make 10x that in concession sales.
  2. Stubhub can get you pretty cheap tickets if you are patient. I got 2 tickets behind 1st base dugout for Red Sox and Rays for 11 each. Last year Pirates at Twins behind 3rd base cost me about the same. If you go on off days or away game days parking is free and 4 fields are normally in use by minor leaguers. You can watch Miquel Sano hit bombs and wonder what scale puts him even close to 200 pounds still.
  3. Like most people that play the lottery. You hope to win big and in the end you only wasted your money. It is pretty sad that year after year the Twins draft big pitchers with great arms only to see them injured before the majors. Like other posts have pointed out the recoveries are delayed by 6 months as the team either misdiagnoses or waits for a miracle.
  4. His average is high, his on base percentage is high but he is essentially a singles hitter in a big guy's body. The home runs don't bother me but the doubles do. I would still like to see him higher in the lineup
  5. I will be interested in seeing the rest of the list and how many players you think will have a meaningful impact in the majors. Looking over the rosters, there are very few that project that way and most of them are at lower levels.
  6. The way I see it is the problem is Mauer's strength. The charts show he is hitting pretty much to the same areas but now the grounders arent getting through. Also if you look at the flyball outsm they are much shallower than 3 years ago. The season is only about 1.4th over but this trend has been in the making for years. Following are the charts from pitch f/x site for 2009 and 2012. http://pitchfx.texasleaguers.com/charts/gen/4080452009040120091015AAAAAspray-chart.png http://pitchfx.texasleaguers.com/charts/gen/4080452012040120120515AAAAAspray-chart.png
  7. Not much to report on the Dan Rohlfing front. Over his past 8 games he is 5 for 30 with the runs scored and 3 RBI. He did have a 4 game hitting streak during that span. For the year he is batting .227 with a .313 OBP. His slugging remains very low at .289. Unfortunately his stats are representative of the entire Miracle team who rank in the bottom half of almost every offensive category.

  10. Dan Rohlfing continued his hitting streak and it now stands at 5 games. During the streak he is 5-19 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. HE also returned to catcher after 2 games as DH.
  11. Dan Rohlfing had a hit in his 4th straight game. For the season he is now batting .267 with a .357 on base percentage. He has also struck out 7 of his last 20 at bats and has had 13 games and 46 at bats since his last extra base hit.
  12. The game you went to was opening night so the crowd was much larger. The average attendance is about reported 1800 or so and that translates to about 1000-1500 in the stands. As far as seats, in the summer the best seats or at least the coolest are at the very top, where a breeze comes through the railing. You can always move down to the box seats at any time. Sunday games are brutal with 1pm start times. Players will often sign down the 3rd baseline on the outfield side of the dugout on the way to and from warmups. Some nights they have 2-3 players on the concourse near the stadium store and sometimes you can get an autograph outside the stadium by the batting cages. They are on the third base side under the stadium. Opposing players often will sign going to and from warmups as well on the first base side.
  13. Rohlfing had an RBI in his 3rd consecutive game Tuesday against the St. Lucie Mets. Over the past 10 games he is batting .324 (12-37) and a .432 OBP.
