Mauer elected and "fans" revolt

I agree 100%. Mauer is 3rd in AL in AVG, 1st in OBP, among catchers he's 1st in AL in AVG, OBP, OPS, Runs, Hits, Doubles, 2nd in SLG and 4th in RBI. Not exactly sure why he gets so much criticism other than the people who make those statements are the same people who think baseball is all about home runs, Mauer wasn't signed to provide home runs. Strikes me that those are the same people who think we can trade away our best players to somehow make the team better.
