striker_86 Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I would like to see Frank have one more nice outing today. It would give us some hope for the starting pitching going into the opening weekend....
woolhouse Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Liriano needs to stop walking the leadoff hitter...
Parker Hageman Site Manager Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 LaVelle reports that Chris Parmelee is now in for Burroughs who "tweaked" his back getting off the bus today (and is expected to be fine).
mikeee Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Liriano needs to stop walking the leadoff hitter...At least he picked him off after letting him on. 0-0 after one inning.
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Ray is there, Plouffe getting extra at bats in minor league game.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Twins turn a double play to end the inning. 0-0 after 2. I thought I read somewhere they had not had a double play all pre-season. Is that right? No Casila at second for this one.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Ray is there, Plouffe getting extra at bats in minor league game.I see that in LaVelle's article now. Ray is a minor leaguer. I was confused because I'dnever seen himon the roster before.

Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Lance Ray has one of the sweetest swings I have seen. He'll play RF and 1B for Ft. Myers this year. He had 15 homers last year in Beloit. Andy Leer was the 25th round pick in 2010 out of the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND.

Andy Leer was the 25th round pick in 2010 out of the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND.He had an e today, and i remember he had quite a few in the OF last year too. Hoping he can overcome that. Had some good months in lo-A last year after a slow start.
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 1-2-3 8th for Perkins, 5-4 to the 9th.

Had some good months in lo-A last year after a slow start.Yeah, I woudln't say he's a better than average outfielder, for sure. E's happen to everyone, so I can't say he's bad because he had an error, but he's definitely more of a hitter than a fielder. Has a good, accurate arm.
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Did Hughes really move over to SS? Interesting. I like Lance Ray. Total breakout candidate this year.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
