asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Sorry if this isnt the Right forum for this but i thought it was appropriate. I used to visit ESPN forums a lot and it used to be a lot of fun to make nicknames whenever somone posts the gamethread for the day. So in the spirit of that, post your nicknames for our players and i hope the creator for the gamethreads has fun with this Here my random day lineup: 1) spandemonium 2) lil general (revere) 3) mauer pauer 4) willinghammer 5) The big canuk 6) Doom 7) Bulldozier 8) Plouff it's gone 9) sing me a carroll Im sure you all can come up with better names than that!
YourHouseIsMyHouse Provisional Member Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Spandemonium is really catchy.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I'll throw a few out there. Please remember this is all in jest... Spando Calrissian (He has a suave and smooth young Billy Dee Williams aura about him)Brokeback Mauer (As in Injured, nothing else)Beef Willingham (I prefer this over Hammer... it is too cliche)
samloupete Provisional Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 "The Runt" for Revere "The Magic Dragon" for Plouffe "The Sonic Boom" for Sano

I thought I'd finish the rest of the Starting Line-up tonight. It is guaranteed some of these will suck! 1. Denard Span - Spando Calrissian/The Pimp/Billy Dee2. Ben Revere - Lil' Peeps3. Joe Mauer - Brokeback Mauer/Joey Baseball4. Josh Willingham - Beef Willingham5. Justin Morneau - Risky Business (Morneau is a tough one to come up with avoiding cliche or lameness, I am using the actress Rebecca De Mornay of the movie "Risky Business" (Mornay=Morneau). This is the best I can come up with.6. Ryan Doumit - God Doumit - although I do like "Doom"7. Brian Dozier - "Bull Dozier" works, but I'd go with "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"8. Trevor Plouffe - Babe Plouffe9. Jamey Carroll - Tiny Tim (as in X-mas Carroll)
MidwestMeat Provisional Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 "The Runt" for Revere"The Magic Dragon" for Plouffe"The Sonic Boom" for Sano Good call bringing Sano into the convo, we need to have some ready for his call up. Plouffalouffagus has been a household name here lately. Not sure what it means but fun to say when he blasts one out.

Mauerzy4Prez Provisional Member Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I like to call Scott Diamond "Big Spot Scott".I've heard Scott Baker often referred to as "Big Spot Scott", I think Diamond is a much better person for the title right now.

70charger Verified Member Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 And by the way, Denard Span is "de Nard Dog."
CDog Provisional Member Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 In our house, # 7 has been Kid St. Paul for years. The only other "original" we have ever used almost exclusively in place of a player's name was "Zoooommmm!" for any reference to Carlos Gomez.
