The Wichita Wind Surge, Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, got blown out in the first game of the Texas League championship series. Yunior Severino blasted his 20th home run of the season. Jair Camargo and Brooks Lee each had a pair of hits in the 11-3 loss. Ronny Henriquez delivered 4 2/3 shutout innings of work for the Twins and Caleb Hamilton recorded his first-career hit, a home run. An ugly ninth inning with Trevor Megill on the mound resulted in the Twins losing to the Angels 10-3.
