  1. Twins System Recap: It was supposed to be a busier day across the system, but the weather postponed both the Saints and Mussels. That left the Wind Surge as the only team on the schedule, but they had plenty of action to go around in their opener. Wichita won 10-6, thanks in part to Kyle DeBarge and his new batting stance. 3. Twins System Recap: The St. Paul Saints woke up from the nightmare game they played yesterday, but didn't snap back sharply enough to win today. Emmanuel Rodriguez provided all the offense with a grand slam he tattooed. Marco Raya got another save chance but blew it. View full video

  5. Twins System Recap: The St. Paul Saints gave up 19 runs and walked 20 batters. Tonight. In one game. Tanner Schobel pitched two innings. He's not a pitcher. That was the worst baseball game I've ever seen.

  9. It was Opening Day for the St. Paul Saints and Kaelen Culpepper's Triple-A debut. He made a great first impression, going 3-for-5 to help lift the Saints to a 4-2 victory. Connor Prielipp had an encouraging first start of the season, especially after navigating a rocky first inning. Alan Roden reached base in all five of his plate appearances. View full video

  11. The Twins lost on Opening Day 2-1 in Baltimore. More importantly, the 2026 Sire of Fort Myers has (finally) been announced. Here's some discussion on the controversy surrounding this year's Sire of Fort Myers plus an overview and reactions from the Twins game. View full video

  13. The Twins Opening Day roster became a bit more clear in recent days. Zebby Matthews was optioned, meaning Mick Abel appears to have a rotation spot. Alan Roden was also optioned, giving clarity to the Twins outfield situation but also creating a crowded picture in St. Paul. Top outfield prospects Walker Jenkins, Emmanuel Rodriguez, and Gabriel Gonzalez are all going to be with the Saints, in addition to multiple other guys. Also, the Twins' bullpen is still very much unsettled. View full video

  15. Eric Longenhagen of FanGraphs reported that several rule changes are being implemented in the minor leagues. Much like the automated strike zone before it, these rules are being tested in the minors before potentially being implemented in the big leagues. The motivation behind the changes appear to revolve around pace, increasing balls in play and encouraging more action on the bases. Not all changes will be tested at all levels, but among the items new for 2026 are that check swings will be called at a 45-degree angle and that the actual second-base bag will move in about nine inches toward the plate to be inside the baseline diamond instead of centered on top of it.

  17. Here's a rundown of a handful of Twins topics. Byron Buxton was hit by a pitch while playing for Team USA, but he's going to be okay. Joe Ryan, who is ramping up after a back injury, hopes to join Buck on Team USA soon. The Spring Breakout preliminary rosters were revealed. I'm excited to see some of the 2025 Draft class play in that prospect showcase. A couple of important items to monitor this spring are the velo of Bailey Ober and Liam Hendriks. Early returns are not encouraging, but it is still early. View full video

  19. Minnesota Twins ace Pablo López is expected to miss the entire 2026 season. How do the Twins move forward? In this video, I discuss the Plan B options for both the rotation and the bullpen. I also previewed this year's class of top contenders for Sire of Fort Myers down in spring training. View full video

  21. Minnesota Twins owner Tom Pohlad has made a poor first impression, but he's proven to be more self aware than his family members who were formerly front and center. He's admitted past mistakes and acknowledged they need to do better to win back fans. Some of the early ticket promotions and pricing are an encouraging sign that the organization realizes the hot water they're in with fans.

  23. The Twins have agreed to a two-year, $14 million deal with Victor Caratini. What does that mean for the catcher position? How will the Twins open up a spot on their 40-man roster for him? Also discussed in this video are the additions of Eric Wagaman, Vidal Bruján, and Orlando Arcia. The final topic is regarding the Twins fighting with Joe Ryan over $500K and how that might impact their relationship. View full video

  25. Dan Hayes of The Athletic reported this morning that there are actually three limited partner groups involved in the partial sale of the Minnesota Twins, not two as was previously expected. And Michael Russo, also of The Athletic, added this evening that Wild owner Craig Leipold is among those involved in one of the limited partner groups. Also, the Twins signed a guy! Josh Bell is joining the Twins on a one-year, $7 million deal. As things stand, it appears he'd slot in as the primary first baseman, but there's a lot of offseason left. View full video
