When I check ERA for Twins on MLB.com I come up with an ERA of 3.50 which is 14 of 30. That also places them 5 of 15 in the AL. WHIP 1.22 which shows 6 of 30 (3 of 15 in AL). I think when you finish in the top 3rd of the AL you have a pretty decent bullpen. -

I really don't think this signing is as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Twins need quality starts. Kevin did that in 57% of his starts. That was above average and only slightly below Diamond who led Twins. -
To kill time in the outfield Hatcher was know to stand his glove on the turf and kick field goals. My brother worked with Mickey for the Albuquerque Dukes. One night at the bar several times my brother saw Mickey talking with girls at pointing over at him. Later in the night some girl finally asked my brother how long he had been Mickey Hatcher's bodyguard.

With Mauer, Doumit & Butera in the lineup I would feel a little safer if we had another catcher on the bench.
