  1. I wish it would void his contract.
  2. The Twins believed in Nolasco instead. And, let's see... his ERA is up to 5.90 now. Once again we find the Twins' flaw. They are making huge mistakes when evaluating talent. They could have kept Worley at AAA but kept Diamond instead. And, they are stuck with Nolasco for what? 3 more years of getting pounded? Not to mention a $23 million dollar first baseman who's skills have diminished. Did they really think he was going to catch until he was 35?
  3. Yes. It's frustrating alright. But, I still see posts on here by people who don't think there are competitive balance issues in baseball and don't see why there needs to be a salary cap. What a stupid system where the teams with the most money can buy the top international prospects. What a joke.
  4. Just like it helps every professional sport other than baseball. It wouldn't be all about the big money teams being able to outspend everybody else.
  5. There isn't much I like about baseball at this point in time. I'm tired of hearing about how many millions they sign for. It pisses me off that there is no salary cap. The fun part for me is following the development of kids. And, the very best part of it is to see somebody come out of nowhere after working his butt off for 10 years, who nobody even notices during most of that time, and he succeeds. I hope Yohan Pino is around for years and pitches many more games like he did last night. I would really enjoy that. Especially, every time he beats another guy who is making about 20 million.
  6. I think the Twins have made a mess out of Hicks. I don't think there is anything wrong with Hicks. I think there is something wrong with the Twins. He was a slow developer in the minors. He never put up big numbers in the minors. Clearly, he belonged in AAA last year. You would think the Twins would learn from their mistake, but apparently not. They did the same thing this year and got the same result. Duh. Hicks has a world of talent. I put it all on the Twins. I have been a fan for a long time and I've never seen them mishandle a young player like they have Aaron Hicks. I like Ryan, but somebody is still making some poor decisions. The Twins say they don't care about service time. They have wasted a year and a quarter of Hick's service time. He hasn't even cracked .200. How can you say you don't care about service time when other teams rosters have so many former Twins who are better than what we have now but we didn't want to pay them?
  7. The Twins put Santana at AAA because he makes lots of errors at shortstop and they wanted him to make fewer errors and be more consistent. So, they bring him up and Gardenhire says he's going to have him playing multiple positions. Why? So, he can never master any of them? Why not let him become what they really need, which is a polished shortstop with offensive ability? And, if he isn't ready to do that at the major league level, he should be doing it in AAA.
  8. Obviously, Worley was terrible last year and this spring. But, they gave up a #1 draft pick for him and another guy who may never make it. He cleared waivers. Why not do everything you can to get something out of the trade? Why couldn't they send him to extended spring training like the Pirates did? The Twins give up on guys to soon: Carlos Gomez, etc. They create roster crushes by trying to keep some old wreck like Jason Bartlett. They should never have let Presley go. Chances are he can hit more than .160. I like Terry Ryan, but the Twins are still making poor decisions. Gardenhire seems to be an idiot, and Rob Antony is an executive. He shouldn't be evaluating talent.
