  1. Thanks guys. Nothing like city driving to get the blood boiling for a Twins victory!
  2. I say keep him unless a huge Walker type trade happens as well. Looking at what the Twins have had and let go before the prime, Id rather take a chance and keep a guy and not have him stay consistant than to lose them and watch them become an all star for another team Examples: Ortiz, Gomez, Hardy, etc. Granted some of them we knew were and would be good, some of them needed time with another coach, and some just came out of no where but I hate the past two all star games have had an abundance of former Twins. Lets open the pocketbook and maybe overpay a couple guys to keep them, then to trade away and hope to land an all star rookie only to go through the same dance 3-4 years later when they are ready to be paid.
  3. Stupid question, easier to take 35w to 494 to MOA, or 35e to 77?
  4. Going to the game on Tues. Any updated news on whos going to get the start for the Twins? Also, I usually park up at the MOA (coming from down by Mankato), ride the rail to the field, heard 35 has some road construction; anyone from around there know if my commute will be longer than expected? Sorry if this is wrong forum for this post.
  5. Just doing my part I guess haha
  6. Just seems the new faces on this team have seemed to put a little spark in this group. I am actually enjoying watching this team and even the losses have (for the most part) been entertaining. Something that last year was not the case. Many times last year being down 3-0 or similar was just time to turn off FSN and watch Archer or something else to cheer me up. Now I actually sit and watch and feel there may be a chance for the comeback from the little fish still trying to evolve teeth. Plus I love Kubel's play so far as everyone laughed when I selected him for the final pick in my fantasy draft. Keep it up all year and I'll take my over bet on 66.5 wins
  7. Great rumor story I heard about Puckett and his decision to resign with the Twins and not take the Boston offer was that one day he saw a dad with his little girl. The dad noticed a Twins logo and asked his daughter something along the lines of "Look theres the Twins." In which she replied "Dad that's Kirby Puckett." I don't know if there is any truth to that story, but judging by his popularity at the time, and how little kids seemed to just identify with the guy; it wouldn't surprise me if that happened everyday. Mauer, even being a great player and definite face of the franchise right now, doesn't seem to have that great connection with kids like the big teddy bear Puckett.
  8. Hey all new here been lurking for about a year and love the articles and insight from fellow posters. I probably wont post much as I don't have much to say but just throwing my name out there so I am not a complete stranger. Go Twins! Cant wait to see what the next few years bring to the organization!
