It was an attempt at winning filled with promise - two powerful should be superstars surrounded by young future all stars, ready to be led and become part of a dynasty. But, like all things baseball, what we hope for isn't often accomplished. Far too many factors to determine why, but this group just didn't have what it took to get the job done. If they worked for you, would you continue to throw money at a program that is not producing, and not generating expected profits? There is a time limit on any business model, and this one hit that mark. Let's hope that the next iteration will be better.
