It’s always been that way. In every sport. The league sells the rights to nationally televised games (Primetime games like Sunday Night Baseball, plus the playoffs). And then the teams get to sell the rights to their local broadcasts. It just didn’t seem like it, because Fox Sports used to own the rights to most of the league’s local broadcasts.
