  1. and that concludes this thread
  2. Well, is it safe to assume Molitor will be next-in-line for the manager job? in 2 yrs or less?
  3. Yeah, there is really no chance the Twins sign someone like Lincecum. A signing like that would look despereate (and TR has never acted out of desperation), and also set a franchise record for most $$ given to an outside free-agent. Twin Lincecum will not happen, sadly.
  4. Pat Dean pitching in Minnesota at some point next year?
  5. True about Levi Michael, he will not hit past AA. At least, that's what appears to be happening.
  6. I agree that Stuart Turner is top-50. How can MLB.com inlcude Turner, but exlcude Josmil Pinto from their top-20?
  7. I bet Timmy wouldn't want it any other way.
  8. Since the Twins already have a multi-million dollar pick in the first round, why not sacrifice the 2nd round pick with a competitive offer for Lincecum. The Twins need to draft pitching, but they also have a ridiculous need for MLB ready guys. Lincecum would be the best starting pitcher they've had since Johan (despite his underwhelming 2012 & 2013). I say risk the 2nd round pick and go after Timmy. Just my opinion.
  9. Makes sense. I think Harrison has a very high ceiling. But my question was about why Walker was ranked lower than Harrison? Polanco's ISO power (144) is slightly lower than Harrison's (163). But Walker's ISO power (248) cannot be ignored. Even if he is a year older than Travis.
  10. Does anyone want Terry Ryan to consider taking a chance on Timmy?
  11. Once again...Jorge Polanco out-slugs Travis Harrison. Walker out-slugged him by a wide margin. My question for Mr. Sickels: Why rank Harrison higher than Walker? one year younger? THanks
  12. The expectations going into last year were so low that nobody could have had their hopes up at all. I think the same can be said for 2014, but there will be a lot of activity this winter by TR. Ultimately, I hope the activity produces some excitement and higher expectations than in 2013. Maybe we will make a big splash on the free agent market and bring back Jamey Carroll?
  13. #1. Great list. #2. I predicted this whole Pinto blow-up last January. Thanks
  14. Did you hear Paul Molitor's comments? Sounds like Buxton could force a call-up next year if he tears up AA-AAA to start 2014...
  15. goo
  16. Haha! Gardy needs a fresh look
  17. I hope so too. Here I am focused on one team, while the MLB.com people have an entire league to worry about.
  18. I would highlight current major-leaguers, but it's tough to find bright spots right now.
