I agree with people saying to place Smeltzer on pitching roster over Perez or Gibson. I just have more faith in Smeltzer to consistently pitch in the strike zone. I also think there needs to be a way to put Astudillo on the roster, probably over Cave. Astudillo has proven he is able to play 1B, 3B, RF, and very importantly - serve as a 3rd catcher (think of injuries, etc). Also, he seems much more likely to at least put the ball in play including in the clutch, pinch hitting, or in the lineup, than Cave or Castro. Both seem to have very high strike out rates, especially in the clutch. Astudillo almost never strikes out.
