Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 He'd should have a zero on the board
DaTwins Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 The grounders are finding the gaps, I guess that's what happens with the infield they put out there.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Hughes yeah. You gotta hit a bunch to overcome that type of defense and luck. Hopefully we will.
DaTwins Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 On the bright side, the Rangers have hit some balls pretty deep into the outfield that have been caught. I can't tell if Swarzak is pitching to contact and being efficient, or the Rangers are just uber-aggressive and are jumping on his pitches.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Looks like he just hasn't really grooved anything... He's mixing things up. Looks like a pro.
twinzgrl Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Our boys need to get some runs for Swarzak....Willingham caught that? Good...improvement...Delmon wouldn't have caught that.
asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Pretty sure being agressive is Texas' prerogative every game. That's why our pitching staff always struggles against them
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Our boys need to get some runs for Swarzak....Willingham caught that? Good...improvement...Delmon wouldn't have caught that.Delmon wouldn't have tried. lol
asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Damn willinghammer.. Even when he's not hitting home runs, his base hits are getting absolutely crushed
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Alright Doumit the law of averages are with you. Your turn
asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Delmon wouldn't have tried. lolOh yes he would have tried, but he would have sprained something in the process
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Oh yes he would have tried, but he would have sprained something in the processIf he would have tried. He would have come back to the dugout mad cuz he had to try.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 A little surprised Swarzak is still out there. 3rd time through the lineup. That one could be placed on Gardy.
twinzgrl Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Crap--maybe Swarzak is running out of gas
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Swarzak got the first quality start of the team this year.
asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Swarzak flying open badly, get him out of there he had a good run today
asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Luckily rangers are still swinging at everything
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Swarzak flying open badly, get him out of there he had a good run todayI was just gonna type the exact same thing but then he started throwing better against Hamilton
twinzgrl Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 There is a video posted in another thread of Delmon making an ugly error in the outfield today for the Tigers....brutal! Glad the Tiger fans get that experience now and not us.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 The ground balls have stopped haven't they
twinzgrl Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Span is looking good at the plate and in the outfield.

Glad the Tiger fans get that experience now and not us.Me 2... Didn't even care that we got nothing. Just miffed he cost us Garza
DaTwins Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 The ground balls have stopped haven't theyIndeed, but I'll take ground balls all day over these deep flys.
asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Well swarzak made a good bit tonight to stay in the starting rotation... So what happens if Hendricks lights it up?
twinzgrl Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Now here is something you don't see often in Twins Territory--a starting pitcher going seven innings. Good for you Anthony!! NOW GET HIM SOME RUNS!!!
DaTwins Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Span is looking good at the plate and in the outfield.I was just talking to a buddy about this today, he really is looking as good as he ever as. Really driving the ball
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Saw the video... Priceless. He could have won the dizzy bat contest. I've seen outfielders play like that after a case of beer in softball or maybe someone was yelling to him. Left... I mean right... No left... Turn around... Now... Now now...
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Plouffe and the Aussie need to hit to play. I was surprised last year by Hughes defense, I thought he would be brutal, but he turned out be unimpressively adequate. I don't think you can consider him for regular play at second, though.
