Pitz Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Buxton singled in the first, then stole his 50th base of the year. It's like he's good at baseball or something.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I have heard that being good at baseball can pay well. Something to look into.

I know the Twins will offer a Longoria contract sooner rather than later. I have no idea how long the contract we be for, but the only number that comes to mind is 100M. I think that other young guy who hits home runs may get one also.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Gonsalves only went 4 innings, but struck out 5 and walked 2. 3 hits as well and no runs.
Larsbars08 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Gonsalves and Stewart look to be following the same path as Berrios. It's certainly good to see these guys dominate like they have, but I can't wait to see how they adapt to full season ball.

If you are going to lock him up early, it's so you DON'T have to pay $100 million. When the Rays locked up Longoria early, it was for 6yrs/$17.5million guaranteed, with a total of 9yrs/$47.5million when you include the 3 team options. Buxton might get a little more, because of inflation and because he's a more dynamic prospect, but it won't be twice as much.
howieramone1406390264 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I probably should have made it clearer. I don't have the foggiest idea what the terms will be. I just know they will.
