wow 11-1, this is nice. Morneau is starting to pick it up. Carroll has had a nice week too! Now if Frank can get out of this game with giving up only a run....

RBI double in the 5th, Liriano hooked.

It seems like he's already locked up the utility infielder spot.

Since Hughes can play 3 spots, I don't think the Twins will keep Burroughs. I expect Butera to make the team.

Dinkleman! In for Span and has switched to RF.

Dinkleman has got to be one of my favorite player names to yell during a game.

I'll take Morneau as a DH if he keeps hitting like this...good way to keep his bat in the lineup most days, except when Joe needs a break, and he would be a killer bat to come off the bench in a big situation if he really can no longer play 1st with these worries about his concussion

Giving up only two runs to the Phillies "A" lineup (minus Howard), and no home runs, with the offense scoring eleven runs, the twins will take it. The twins will also be happy that he struck out three and only walked one.

I guess...also, to those who are saying that Revere should be starting at AAA, even with his (currently) 0-3 day, he is still hitting .340, albeit with only 2 2B, but he also has 3 SB

TFFA - My opinion is that they should put the time into Benson and Hicks, not Revere. I'm not saying that Revere doesn't have his uses, but how often do you need just a glove and range in the OF? If you bring him in as a defensive replacement, what good is that if a guy gets on second? A single will always score that run. Plouffe has his problems too, I'm not denying that. I just think that it's time the Twins started to think about out-scoring their opponents now because the pitching staff is going to need it. Plouffe can produce more runs than Revere can save.

But can Plouffe produce and save more runs than Revere can produce and save? That is the real question. Revere's 2011 WAR was 2.0 and Plouffe's was -0.6. Of course Plouffe played less, but is still a significant difference. I am not sure how more people are pointing to Willingham as being the problem here.

Starting in AAA is better than playing 1/3 of the time for the Twins to begin the season.
