Is there any story behind the Eades performances? Have the Twins drastically changed his mechanics, or asked him to keep throwing a new pitch he hasn't mastered? Is he having physical problems? Or did our scouts just whiff on that pick?

Which prospects have to be placed on the 40-man next season?

Not sure offhand. I think Meyer is one... It will be guys from the 2010/11 draft class

Yes, it is the 2011 (and prior) draft classes. That's a lot of guys including most of the pitchers at New Britain and Ft. Myers and Rosario and Meyer. The front office will have to make a lot of decisions this fall on guys like Collabello and Parmalee and the current bullpen (and maybe Pelfrey and Correia) to open up spots.

The FSL is the hardest league to hit HRs in from "A" ball thru the Majors. Walker has impressed so far, at least in that category. He produces when statistics say he shouldn't.

Sano, Rosario and Meyer are the locks. Several relievers like Achter(again), Cole Johnson and Tyler Jones are possible. Lester Oliveros is someone to look at since he still has an option. Sean Gilmartin is pitching well so he will likely be added. Also Levi Michael, Alex Wimmers and Niko Goodrum are possibilities depending how they finish the year.

Great post, thanks for sharing this Lightfoot.

A lineup with Walker and Vargas would really mash, but there would be a lot of strikeouts. Add in Sano and, oh my! The would miss a lot of baseballs at the plate, but when they hit 'em!

Yes, that would be a great lineup in New Britain but if anyone gets a call-up it should be Vargas.

Kennys is displaying his new and improved plate discipline and defeating the stereotypes about him-- Around a 13% K-rate since May 1, with nearly a 12% BB rate.

Vargas is on the 40-man, but it appears that need in the OF might mean Rosario gets to the Show earlier. Until the situations for Parmelee, Kubel and Willingham are settled, there's really no room for Vargas.
