Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Twins Lineup: Span CF Casilla 2B Mauer DH Willingham LF Doumit C Parmelee 1B Plouffe 3B Thomas RF Carroll SS SP: Hendriks
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I hope Hendriks bounces back from his poor start against the Red Sox.
Dougmancaveitch Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 good to see Mauer is in the line up.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I will be very interested to see how Plouffe does at 3B tonight.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 The second straight game with Casilla hitting in the two hole. Good to see Gardy rewarding Casilla for his good hitting lately.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Sweet, Thomas is starting again. Unreal.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I mean this with the utmost sincerity. I hope Plouffe gets a lot of defensive opportunities tonight and succeeds. Being a moveable piece in the infield is the sure fire way he can have value for this ball club in the future.
twinswon1991 Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 The bottom 4 guys in this lineup couldn't get jobs for most AAA teams. Carroll, at age 38, should'e retired last year and does not deserve more than 2 starts a week.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 If Aybar could get his contract to reflect getting paid by the ground ball, he'd make more than Pujols this week.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Clete Thomas plays over and over, and Slama sits in the minors. Where is the justice in the world?

minn55441 Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 In the specific case of tonight, Gardy doesn't have a lot of options.I understand Chief, but there is a serious problem with our roster management if we are in a position where a guy that strikes out 60% of the time is in the starting lineup. There is a reason that the Tiger's cut him. I was originally on board with the transaction. Give the guy a chance, but he had his chance and it didn't work. Time to cut ties and move in a new direction.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Not blaming Gardy at all....this isn't on Gardy.

minn55441 Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 15 strike outs in 25 at Bats. I'm pretty sure I could make contact with more regularity than that.
minn55441 Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 16 strike outs in 26 at Bats. Now we are at .615, this is worse than Adam Dunn from 2011.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 hahahahha, you can really only laugh at this point. That thread, where we were asked what would make us question our fandom, keeping Clete Thomas on the roster might be the last straw for me. I am not a Terry Ryan believer, and in year 1, he's confirming my worst fears.
mhanson93 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Wow, it shocks me that Pujols can't get hits against this awful staff.

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Clete Thomas plays over and over, and Slama sits in the minors. Where is the justice in the world?Everybody: No justice, no peace!
mhanson93 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Wow, this is the worst stretch of baseball that I can remember in the last 10-15 years...
DrJubal Verified Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I'm turning it off now. I've wasted too much time on watching this team right now. Someone call me when we get some pitching.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Clete Thomas plays over and over, and Slama sits in the minors. Where is the justice in the world? Can Slama hit?
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Indians signs Damon, Doyers lookin at Abreu, Arizona Vladi, TB Matsui, ect. What are the Twins lookin at? Thomas puts ass on there seats.

It's less complex than the middle infield, at least mentally.
DrJubal Verified Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Hitting isn't this team's biggest problem.
Highabove Provisional Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 At the moment Hendricks is not a Major League Pitcher.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Hendricks start tonight really is too bad. I had some hope that he might be a surprise performer and legitimately earn a spot in the rotation. Yeesh.
