Arizona Fall League is Underway - Kepler is the Twins Star of the AFL So Far

Twins Video

Not that I thought his 40-man roster spot was ever in doubt.

But he's the best performing Twin so far in the ARZ Fall League, which started on Oct 8.

Here's a story on Kepler and his performance in his last game.

Here's the Twins stats - they're on the Glendale Desert Dogs.

Note. Kepler, in all 4 games, has played 1B.

Kepler at 1st. I like it. See you in 2015!! Now if we only had a place to play that #7 guy.

Kepler will be hopefully finishing up AA in 2015. So there is time to figure out Mauer and first base.

I wasn't sure about how he would adapt to US culture and the nature of American interviews, but I guess Crash Davis taught him well:

"I was seeing the ball well," Kepler said. "I'm getting my knocks and doing what I can."

The must have left out:

"I just wanta give it my best shot and, Good Lord willing, things'll work out."

I wonder if a good AFL might make some of the scouting wonks re-consider him for top 100 lists.

Rosario has an OBP of .333 which is less than his average .348. He is 8 for 23 .348 avg, he must be 8 for 24 .333 with a sacrifice somewhere. Weird situation and shows how SMALL these sample sizes are ...and how we need to wait to evaluate....

I kinda like that Buxton is scuffling a little bit with his .227. A little adversity is necessary to realize true greatness potential. Not that I don't love that he's been dominant at every other point so far...
