Great. Our best pitcher. In all seriousness, good for Carroll. He'll get to play a more significant role with a team that's been playing some good winning baseball as of late. He's a smart, gutty player and he deserves to play in games that matter. If the Twins can get any kind of value for him at all at age 39, it's a good move.

Frankie's not even good enough to get traded at this point. Just clueless out there.

At least once before. He got tossed in Detroit a couple years ago and threw his bat to the backstop. Ended up apologizing to the ump the next day. He's a pretty placid ballplayer but has just enough temper to get him in trouble from time to time. It's good to see a little passion like that sometimes - it was a lousy call, after all - just so long as he doesn't make a habit of jawing at the umps. We need Denard in these games.

So many great memories of that night. One that sticks out was the force play that Punto made, throwing to the plate on the slow chopper by Inge with the bases loaded in the top of the 12th. That was a great heads-up play. The image that will always be with me, though, was seeing the all the players come pouring out of the dugout as Gomez made the turn for home. The last memory I have in the Metrodome is celebrating that win - embracing my friends, high-fiving strangers, and being completely overwhelmed by the joy of the greatest ballgame I ever saw in person. I'll never forget 163.
