May to the bullpen would be absurd. I don't believe Molitor truly wants him there, but he's realizing that's the only option Ryan will give him. To my knowledge, before last season May has never pitched in relief. Atleast not for many years. And he's not a failed starter. He's shown promise. It's Ryan's duty to do whatever he has to do to put the best five in the rotation and THEN assemble a competent bullpen around that. May is in the top 5. Putting him in the bullpen is a disservice to the team, and a disservice to the KID. He's done nothing to earn this demotion. I rarely support a player who creates waves, but May and his agent have a legitimate beef if he's forced to the bullpen. I couldn't blame him if he requested a trade.
